10/10 Exceptional

great spot to stay in Madrid

This hotel has a great location, just off Puerta del Sol. Our room was comfortable. The bars on the street stay open late, so it could be noisy, but we didn't mind it at all.

Nice Hotel Great Location

Nice hotel right in the heart of Madrid. From the moment we arrived the front desk staff was excellent. They told us great places to eat, gave us a map of the city showing the location of of the major attractions, and arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport when we were ready to leave. This is a great location if you want to walk around the city and see the sights and hear the sounds. The room was comfortable and included all of the essentials.

All good. Bathroom door stuck and breakfast was cold. Apart from that it was great. Friend staff and a good location.

Two nights in Madrid

Comfortable room, good beds. Great breakfast. Great location, other than trying to get there with your own car!
Richard, 2-night trip

Despite the 4am ceiling leak we had on the first night, the hotel was located in a great are close to great dining including an incredible ice cream shop

10/10 Exceptional

Well manteined hotel right in Sol plaza in the center of Madrid, nice staff, clean, amazingly in a busy street but very quiet rooms, the best tabernas, lots of restaurants, shopping, telephone companies, metro, everything!! Great place. I would definitely come back
Cecilio, 10-night trip

6/10 Good

Everything was great except for the price that we paid, the hotel is missing basic amenities like a kettle, coffee maker, phone, coffee, mugs, and visible plug ins. Rooms are in a smaller side which is expected in the area as well. Other than that, location is amazing, staff are great and the room is very clean.
Virgilio, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The location of the hotel was ideal for walking and dining. The room was nothing special but sufficient for our stay. Lots of noise and pre-game singing by the Madrid soccer fans drinking outside the bar across from the hotel into the wee hours.

8/10 Very good

Great hotel close to the city center and scads of restaurants. The hotel was quiet in spite of the multitudes outside of the building. Free breakfast buffet was delicious and convenient. Lovely accordion player outside when our shutters were wide open. WiFi was sketchy tho.
RHONDA, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Over the last year I have stayed at the hotel Victoria 4 during all my visit to madrid. The hotel is nice but the nightly rates are getting too high.
Raul, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Definitely NOT quite. Was on top floor but street noise of crowd still loud till 5am. Very convenient location with excellent dining venues nearby. Easy stroll to subway and Plaza de Sol and Plaza de Mayor. Nice foyer.Front staff was OK but not as friendly as other places we've been. (kinda understandable considering outside crowds). Had a rowdy drunk Brit crack his head on the front door glass one night causing ambulance and police to show up. Let's you get a gist of how active the area is with partying tourists...
Joseph, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great place in the heart of Madrid. The shower pressure was so good that the overspray got all over the floor. Other than being slick after a shower and using a lot of towels, the place was great. The commotion and often music until early morning hours made sleeping a little tough. The air conditioning worked great!
4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Overall excelent. The only thing was that I can't control the temperatura of the aire conditioner. Was a little hot.
Claribel, 6-night trip

6/10 Good

The hotel itself was nothing special, though our shower head appeared to be broken and wouldn’t hold position. Room would be good for single travelers planning to spend little to no time in their room. As I was traveling with my husband we would probably opt for something a bit more spacious next time. We booked a double room and ended up in a small room with three single beds, two pushed together. The breakfast was buffet style continental breakfast. Again nothing special. Staff was friendly, but did not offer up any additional or helpful information beyond what was required for checking us in and out. Overall it was a great central location for exploring Madrid, but probably wouldn’t stay again.
McKenna, 7-night trip

2/10 Poor

Aside from the one person at checkin, the rest of staff cared less for your presence. The nights were anything but quiet. The window would not lock or close properly, so the noise from the revelers on the street kept me and my family awake until 3:30 am, every night. Hotel manager was rude, and reminded me multiple times in a conversation that he was the manager. Never staying here again. Location has much potential, but attitude of the staff, starting with the manager doesn’t make it worthwhile. Plenty of better options to choose from. And i will in the future.
Emmanuel, 4-night trip

4/10 Fair

The hotel is very well located in terms of proximity to the Puerta del Sol Metro, and very walkable to the royal palace in one direction and the Prado in the other. However, the hotel is in a largely pedestrian zone, so taxis taking me to the hotel did not stop in right in front of it. I had to find my own way with baggage. The room was basic and has not been updated in a while. There was no plugs near the bed to charge my devices. The area is very noisy long into night, with young people whooping it up. The staff was very helpful. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I would not stay here again.
Sarah, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It was basic and had 4 twin beds to accommodate a family of 4. We pushed 2 together for the adults and trenagers didn’t have to share. Room was very small but it’s an older bldg, so didn’t expect much.
