Staff were friendly and efficient. The room itself was nice, bit on the basic rather than luxury end. The main cleanliness issue was the bathroom where the floor clearly hasn't been hoovered or mopped in a while. We chose it due to the pool area, which had good upkeep but it was busy including with noisy kids jumping in which made it less relaxing. Overall good but won't be back

Lovely hotel but private party kept us awake

The room and facilities were really clean and in great condition. However there was a party at the hotel the evening we stayed and it was incredibly loud into the early hours. It was not so much the music but the constant voices of the guests that kept us awake. The function room is very close to all of the bedrooms. Had we have been notified of the party we would have stayed somewhere else. My advice would be to double check whether there is an event on before booking.

Visit to see family. The Hotel receptionist was really friendly and helpful on arrival. She kindly carried my elderly mother's bag for me. We had an excellent roast dinner in the restaurant that evening and breakfast the next day was very good too.The beds are very comfortable.

Lovely hotel to stay in nice room and view of the golf course. I was pleased that there were other people staying there for the night we were on the 3rd January otherwise that would have been weird! The spa and gym facilities were excellent and breakfast was fine as it was included in the room cost. The room was hot which is subjective but even turning the radiators off there was the sound of the heating all night which kept me awake for a while. It was very convenient for a family function the next day.

If you're booking here I recommend you check that there is not a wedding on. Unfortunately I missed the email they'd sent us telling us this. The wedding party was right outside the door until 12.30am when the music stopped, but the talking and noise continued. No dairy free alternative to butter available for toast at breakfast (their suggestion was marmalade or jam, which whilst it works, wasn't what was required). Breakfast was rather disorganised and slow with the staff having to try and make extra tables up whilst we were waiting as the main dining area was full. The spa treatments were wonderful, best part of the trip. The pool was very cold the first day, but fine the second.

Staff very good 👍 A wedding was taking place so very loud to the early hours .. to be expected however … was not made aware when booked ? Although the room was ok the bed was uncomfortable and low quality pillows .. they could be upgraded .. the room rate didn’t really meet expectation .. for a deluxe room complimentary water would be a nice touch !!

This is not a hotel in the normal sense, it is a golf club and wedding venue first, with rooms they let out. The setting is really nice and the pool facilities were excellent (including the super friendly staff). Reception shuts early so when you realise they have only given you 1 toilet roll, there is no one to contact. The lady who checked us in was lovely and even let us check in and use the facilities early. The other lady insisted we couldn't go directly to our room after we collected our cases due to a wedding despite none of the wedding party being on the stairs/on that route. There was no indication that it was not accessible. I have a bad foot and struggled with the steps (there was a lift to the floor with the rooms but then some large steps to the room from there. You have to go outdoors to get to the room, and from the room to the bar and restaurant. The room was lovely and spacious and a big bed. The bathroom wasn't what I call clean but the rest of the room was.
