Flott hotell

Veldig fint og nytt hotell. Vi satte pris på å få et oppgradert rom ved innsjekk uten ekstra kostnad. Personalet er veldig hyggelige, men jeg tror nok at det var mange sommervikarer, særlig i restauranten og i baren. De fleste var veldig trivelige, men det var mye kløning og rot med bestillinger. I tillegg var de litt trege med rydding i spisesalen. Det var mange ledige bord, men ingen som var ryddet og dermed måtte vi vente litt før vi fikk bord til frokost. Men dette var bare en liten irritasjon og ødela på ingen måte. Alle gjorde sitt beste for oss. Beliggenheten er også bra. Alt i alt et bra opphold.

Nice stay

Good stay, nice new room and quiet on 6th floor room round back. Comfortable rooms. Room slightly on the small side. Could check in early, dinner service a little chaotic - teething problems probably as the hotel looks very new. Would stay again.

Dette hotellet anbefales på det sterkeste. Svært hyggelig og serviceinnstilt personale, både i resepsjonen, i restauranten og blant rengjørerne. Rommene var pene og rene med unntak av at det luktet sterkt kaffe på vårt rom. Forøvrig ikke den verste lukten å ha på et rom, men ungene syntes det var litt ubehagelig. Frokosten var super og både rommene og arealene forøvrig er romslige og ikke minst gode senger. Her sov vi godt.

Disappointing Stay — Far Below 4-Star Standards

We stayed at the Maldron Hotel in July 2025 for three nights and, unfortunately, feel compelled to leave this review due to several issues that affected our stay. Check-in Experience and Parking Confusion. From the outset, the check-in process was problematic. We asked the receptionist several times for help with parking, but he was unsure which parking garage the hotel had an agreement with and had to call around to find a promotion code. He appeared generally confused, which led to us parking in the wrong garage and incurring a charge of £86 for three days — an unnecessary expense that could have been avoided with proper guidance. We were assigned a family room for two adults and two children, but it was clearly too small to accommodate four beds. There was virtually no floor space, and we found ourselves crawling over luggage and beds to move around. While we do not expect spacious accommodations for four people in a single room, it would have been helpful to know in advance that space would be this restricted. In addition, the room was not properly prepared for four guests — only three sets of towels were provided. We had to go to reception to request the missing set, which took several hours and follow-ups before it was finally delivered. One of the most disappointing aspects of our stay was the condition of the room. It was clearly not properly cleaned — we’ve attached photos that speak for themselves.

Superb hotel. Very comfortable

The location is absolutely superb very central near the beach near the shops. They had everything going on. The staff was super friendly upon arrival and checking in very easy inconvenient with a great create your own key card option. The room was fantastic. We had a deluxe family room with plenty of space comfortable beds. The only criticism would be that there is very little storage just a tiny little alcove space and space to hang clothes. There’s so much space in the room. It seemed a little bit strange not to have included Storage options.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado para conocer la ciudad a pie. El parking es externo pero está justo en frente del hotel. La habitación era muy justa y la cama también. Mucho calor y no se podía regular la temperatura. El nórdico.. para el invierno. El baño completo. El desayuno era un poco caótico. La atención para reponer la cafetera... muy lenta. La oferta del desayuno era pobre, comparándola con otros hoteles del país similares.

Perfectly fine but could have been really good

The hotel was nice - modern and well located. Great beds, good sound proofing. I reported a problem with the shower and it was fixed that evening. Staff in bar were lovely and George the operations manager was really great. Breakfast was nice, with lots of options - an impressive selection of dairy-free milks and gluten-free items for people who needed them - not us, but good to know everyone was catered for. However, there were a few things that stopped weren’t so great. The receptionist at check-in was not hugely friendly - seemed distracted and slightly annoyed, although the other ones were l lovely. The air con (we stayed specifically because the hotel had air con) was set so you couldn’t lower it that much. Consequently I think it would have been cooler with a window open. Also, housekeeping was a bit sketchy - they forgot to fill up tea/coffee supplies, didn’t take out used cups etc and although towels were replaced, ones in the floor were not removed. There was an issue with running out of bottled water in rooms but this was left to reception to deal with if guests asked about it. It would have made sense to have left something in the room explaining the situation and apologising. So overall, it was fine/good rather than good/great, which is what we had been expecting.
