This was my first time in San Simeon and I didn’t think it was going to be as nice since it’s kind of out at the edge of a coast. But wow, I was surprised of how nice the hotel was. Everyone was friendly and the rooms were nice and cozy. Breakfast was great. I would stay here again

Overall very good Only thing I didn’t like at breakfast was the cardboard plates and plastic cutlery which I thought for any hotel poor taste

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. It was easy to change to connecting rooms. The pantry was well stocked, breakfast was awesome. Only issue was with housekeeping - the fridges in both rooms hadn’t been emptied, showers were not thoroughly cleaned, and there were sticky spots on the floors. (I travel with cleaning wipes, but if I didn’t I would have called down for cleaning assistance.) I’d still stay there again because of the price point, proximity, and staff.

Room was nice. Bed was ok. Parking was easy. Breakfast was ok. Did not use the pool. The room next to ours kept slamming the door for about an hour at 11 pm. Other than that it was quiet enough.

The amenities of this amazing Hampton Inn hotel at San Simeon were excellent in every way. The most important thing I can say about this hotel is the location. This goes out to all pet owners who truly care about your pets (dogs) especially when your dog gets really scare with the sounds of fireworks. We did not hear a single firework during our stay which was the main reason why we drove almost 5 hours from our residence. Perfect location for relaxation and great weather!!!

The staff are really friendly and helpful. However, I experienced a pretty gross and scary night at the hotel. My legs were itching when I was inside the bed and I found a small white piece of I don’t know what was on my leg. So I asked the staff to bring me new sheets and that worked, but they forgot to bring me blanket and I was cold the whole night. It was quite expensive night for not sleeping well. I don’t recommend to stay here.

Be aware that there is NO elevator for two floor buildings. Stairs only. For the price, no elevator is a killer. If you travel with kids and have luggage.

Do not stay here. Our family experienced severe structural and sanitary issues that made our room uninhabitable, and management went silent once pressed for corporate accountability. The Major Issues: Flooding & Leaks: Water was actively seeping up through the floor seams upon check-in. By morning, a second leak developed next to the toilet, pooling yellow/orange fluid across the floor. Management downplayed a failed toilet wax ring as "clean water," ignoring the obvious health hazard. Poor Hygiene: There was an active ant infestation at the lobby coffee bar area. Management Failure: While the General Manager issued a full refund, he completely ghosted us the moment we requested a corporate incident tracking number and insurance details. They are quick to issue a refund to make a liability problem go away, but they lack operational accountability. Avoid this property.
