Will not recommend people staying here. Very disappointed! Even there is a fan in room which not able to help, too hot inside the room. Can't open the window since there are many bird droppings, hygiene is bad. There is ventilation fan inside the bathroom is failure, no recirculation so make the room getting more hot. PLEASE DONT STAY THERE if there is any other choices.

Disappointed

Hello, when we arrived in the room, around 3pm, the sink was blocked, we notified the reception who told us they would try to fix the problem otherwise they would offer us another room. We went out and when we came back around 10.30pm, the problem was still the same. We could see that someone had been in the room, the sink was dirty but the problem had not been solved! We had to go back to reception, and the night porter came to check, he offered us another room, noisy, next to the restaurant, but it was the only one available at that time. We had to move our suitcases... What's more, the breakfast products on offer were very basic. We were very disappointed, considering the price we paid!

Disappointing

This hotel is more like a youth hostel and depressing. We couldn't see the sky from the window. Two adults yet only one bedside table and one chair. No window dressing. Hot water in the shower was inconsistent. Overpriced for the quality of the stay. The staff were lovely but we won't be returning.

Good stay for a festival

Overall we found it a really good stay, helpful staff, good service, the room was lovely and good space, a few broken draws when trying to close a couple needed a clean, the controller was dirty needed a clean. We felt there needed to be more room in the bathroom to actually hang towels etc. etc phone in rooms needed and iron, bigger breakfast selection and room for it.

Good value for money

This hotel is located in a prime position. Not far from the station. A very short walk to the seafront and situated amongst the leading shops. If you are looking for value with a good buffet breakfast too then this hotel is a good choice.

An excellent value marvelous hotel

This was my first visit to Brighton, I chose this hotel because of the good reviews, price and location. It did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was facing out on to a quiet street at the back. It was clean and well equipped. The shower and the breakfast were excellent. The hotel is a short walk from the seafront, the station and The Lanes. I was able to leave me luggage at the hotel (not everywhere does this) whilst I used up the last few hours before I headed home. I will return to Brighton and I will certainly book this hotel again as it is really good value and is an excellent base to explore Brighton from.
