The room was spaceous, parquettfloor and a small fridge in the room which was a nice surprise. Clean and good water flow in the shower which is something hard to find in hotels in general. The hotel is old which of course shows in some ways but was not something I had any problems with. The complementary breakfast was fine and enough for me. I had a sandwich with jam, tra, orange juice, yoghurt and scrambled egg. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I was able to check in early which I was happy about regardless of the 25 pound fee for this. Good location on a shopping street close to shops, restaurants and foodstore. Overall happy about my stay, would book again if I’d return to Brighton.

Ok overall - building isn't soundproof so had to suffer noise of drunk people outside in the early morning waking me up. Room clean upon check-in, but cleaning chemicals used by housekeeping had very strong smell which made my throat hurt and caused me to sneeze a lot.

Clean, great value to be fair and friendly staff, with breakfast. Quiet and in a banging location... Good to check around as prices can differ...I got a fantastic price through Trivago And yes they do have a small percentage of people going through a tough time staying so if your not too snobby.. it's a winner for me , on a budget at the moment.
