Arrived early morning, despite having paid for the night before and informed by Expedia I would be arriving in the morning but they sold my room in the interim and I had to wait almost 2 hours for them to resolve it.

Arrived at property but the room was not available— has to wait one hour, even though I had booked the night before. I did message them to confirm it was a late arrival but they didn’t claim to use the Expedia messaging. The room was okay, but not private at all — the windows were joined and so you could hear everything between rooms.

I stayed at the Hotel Stella Maris over the 2023 Thanksgiving weekend and was extremely pleased with the hotel's staff, public areas, location on a delightful urban park, and its close proximity to all of the Reforma tourist sites. Its San Rafael neighborhood was particularly delightful. I was given a bedroom on the 8th floor overlooking the park and the city, and the room was super-clean and updated to a very modern look, with good linens and mattresses, plus a splendid marble bathroom. I will stay there again when I am next visiting Mexico City. It is very convenient to shopping, theaters, and good restaurants, and one can walk freely in the neighborhood without any concern for safety. My only suggestion for improvement would be to its internal restaurant - - which I understand is run by a third-party operator. It had no standard breakfast buffet, and few patrons were in evidence using the restaurant - - apparently most eating at the various mix of other restaurants in the immediate area of the hotel which seemed always to have ample clientele and more professional wait-staff.

El hotel solo tiene 1 elevador pequeño y se mueve y truena bastante, las habitaciones son pequeñas pero tienen lo basico, es un hotel que le falta mucho mantenimiento pero sobretodo las camas son super duras y las almoadas muy delgadas, ademas el desayuno del buffete siempre es lo mismo y pequeño, no está malo. El servicio es bueno.

Terrible a nuestra llegada la persona de recepción no fue amable, en la habitación las camas son una piedra y lo peor están haciendo arreglos y los martillazos se escuchan en todo el hotel desde temprano, no pudimos descansar. Deberían avisar q están en remodelación y hubiéramos elegido otro hotel.

El hotel es bastante cómodo y me parece que esta en una zona tranquila, la habitación es cómoda solo que si se nota mucho el paso se los años, y las fotos que están en la plataforma hacen verlo como más nuevo. Un área a mejorar sería la alberca qué en realidad no es muy onda pero sería bueno que estuviera climatizada. El personal es muy amable.

Es un hotel bonito, tradicional, piscina pequeña con agua muy fría, quizas climatizarla mas confort y darle mantenimiento a las marquitas que quedan con el agua en las orillas para que se vea mas bonita. La atención fue muy buena, estuvimos cómodos. Las exposiciones de los domingos en la plazita que está a unos pasos, es genial. Sin duda, volveremos.

Bueno pero con oportunidades de mejora

En general el hotel es bueno pero las fotos no son congruentes con la realidad. Me parece que son un poco engañosas las fotos que tienen publicadas, a pesar de no ser malo el hotel, si está viejo y las instalaciones no son tan buenas como lo muestran en sus fotos. El servicio es muy bueno y el personal muy amable. Buena ubicación, cerca de todo y la zona es muy caminable. El wifi es malo, no tienen buena conexión a internet desde las habitaciones y tampoco en la recepción o restaurante. La piscina estaba fría y no pudimos entrar ningún día. La comida es buena y los precios bastante accesibles. Muy buen desayuno buffet a buen precio con el descuento por ser huésped. Sí recomiendo ir a este hotel pero las expectativas no tienen que ser muy altas.

La estancia en el hotel fué agradable, limpio, camas y almohadas cómodas, el personal amable. Tiene buena ubicación, Sin embargo, cerca hay un parque que es zona de tolerancia y te encuentras con gente en estado inconveniente, lo cual genera inseguridad si quieres pasar por ahí caminando, ya que es el paso para la zona de reforma la cual esta muy cerca.
