Our stay at Hotel Niwa made our Japan trip exceptional! As American travelers in our early 30s, we found this place to be a gem in Tokyo. The hotel's ambiance was simply beautiful, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious for a city known for compact spaces. Its prime location, just a 5-minute walk from a JR line, made navigating Tokyo incredibly convenient. I loved this little gem of a hotel. The staff is lovely and the hotel is affordable and really clean. The walls are also super thick so you don’t hear the baseball games that might happen across the street. I also loved the location. The street is quiet but metro close and so many places walkable. I’ll certainly stay here again,

Clean , good service and great location

Very big and spacious room. Kids had their own bed and space. Enough space to store things (luggage, purchases) and clothes in the room cabinets and also on the floor. Huge floor plan for Tokio! The proximity to Akihabara was very nice. Many restaurants, places to visit, stores, drugstores, and, train station. Staff was very nice. Bed was very comfortable.

All of the staff are super helpful and friendly. Room is in decent size, comfortably fit two kids and two adults in two twin beds standard room. Complimentary breakfast and they replenish food whenever they see it runs out.

I was traveling solo and this place was just what I needed. Yes, it is a small room, but that was expected for the low rate. For what it was, it fulfilled it's purpose well. The room was kept clean, and had most of the amenities I needed. The bed was comfortable, AC worked great. No funky smell in the room. Shower was bigger than expected (mind you this is Tokyo, so they are usually very small, but this one was not too bad). Sadly the room seemed to lack a microwave which would have made it...

This is a convenient hotel for the Ryogoku Kogukikan which was our primary reason for staying. Close to JR line, plenty of restaurants in close proximity, and the breakfast was quite nice. Hotel clean, room small but a standard for Japan. Overall this hotel served our purposed well.

I always stay at Sotetsu Fresa Takadanobaba whenever I'm in Tokyo, and for good reason. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from Takadanobaba Station, which connects to the JR Yamanote, Seibu Shinjuku, and Tozai Lines. This was a fantastic hotel! The location was incredible - it is walking distance to the Yamanote train line which connects you to other main attractions in Tokyo. There is also tons of great restaurants and shops in the area as well and a convenience store in the heart of the lobby making it easy to grab food, drinks or other supplies. The Narita Airport limosine bus stops directly at this hotel, so it's very convenient if you don't want to carry a bunch of luggage on the shinkansen/local trains. There's a FamilyMart in a section of the building, on the second floor. The nearest metro station is the Akasaka-mitsuke station, and use the D exit (the yellow blocks on Google Maps). I have been staying at this property for over 10 years when I come to Japan. It’s my favorite property because the property is conveniently located amongst great transportation and shopping. I had a quite disturbing experience when I was lining up at the front desk to ask about their takkyubin services. Love this place and we will stay here again in the future. Room was amazing for three people with 3 single beds, fresh linen-and robe daily. Free breakfast with delicious pastries included. And oh, I missed the caffucino latte served as much as you want from Am till 10:00 pm. Our experience was great!

Great hotel that’s a short walk to the heart of Shinjuku and all it has to offer during the day and night! Still a quiet room though. Room was on the smaller side but you’re hardly in it anyway since you’re exploring Tokyo!

The hotel itself is very old, needs some refurbishment, but they still keep it very clean. I like our beds were being made every day, we felt very comfortable and relaxed when we returned to our room to see the clean beds after long walks.

I was a bit skeptical, as I saw multiple APA hotels in my search, but that is because of how good it is. It is a very eco friendly hotel with a moto of "Simplified Luxury" which is exactly what it was. It was very walkable to all the major spots of Shinjuku we were looking for- the station, the tourist spots, etc. Also, all the amenities the hotel had to offer. Overall very impressed by the hotel. The staff were very helpful and spoke decent English. The hotel is right on top of a station that has a direct line to Narita Airport so there are no transfers needed. There is a nearby supermarket where you can get all the drinks and snacks you need and the Tokyo Skytree Solamachi is also right there with plenty of dining options. 10-15 min walk to Shinjuku. Multiple train entrances. Convenience stores every where. Friendly staff. The complaints about the dryers not being the best are technically accurate, but it’s cheap so it’s not a big deal at all. Staff was helpful even though I know basically zero Japanese. Held our bags after check-in since we had some time before our flight. 100% would stay again. Fair price and great location.
