"Was a nice place to stay for location but was disappointed on the cleanliness."

"You will think I was lying when I begin to list the problems we had. In “short”, dingy, dirty overall, smells like weed and cigarettes throughout the halls. Sheets were stained and dirty, even after we changed rooms. The whole place is filthy. Floors sticky, blanket stained as well, easily visible dirt and who knows what on walls. Window shade did not cover window, door lock was janky (safety issues). Bathroom sink slowly drained and then to top off, shower didn’t drain at all. No maintenance per front desk and apparently no access to emergency plumber in Kansas City?! (Sanitation issue) I was told there was nothing they could do, then I suggested a plunger and was given one for me to work on myself. After multiple attempts of working with front desk and asking for a manager who “wasn’t avail until Monday” gave up dealing with them and tried going through EXPEDIA directly - still waiting to see what they do to help. Booked this off of varying reviews but seeing several good reviews I thought at minimum it would offer basic needs, likely no frills. It is unacceptable to pay money for this place. Don’t know how anyone actually gives this good reviews. Expedia should pull this from their offerings. It’s the worst place I’ve ever stayed."

"We were unable to stay at this hotel because of how unsafe it was for my son to breathe. The cloudy haze of marijuana and cigarette smoke made it difficult to breath and made my sons lungs hurt. We had reserved a two bedroom room and were given a room with only one bed."

"I was given an "upgrade" from a two-queen room to a king suite with a king bed and a fold-out bed. I was told blankets and pillows would be delivered so the fold-out would be usable, which, by the way, would require moving furniture to do so. I followed up on blankets/pillows three times, and finally, at midnight, I gave up. The "upgrade" was a lie, and I ended up paying over $400 for a space that was, for all intents and purposes, unusable. Add to that the fact that the entire lobby looked like it had been hit by a tornado, and the extremely rude staff. I will definitely not book there again, which is unfortunate because the location is ideal. "
