"my recent stay at CoCo Key Hotel and Water Resort. The experience was far below any reasonable standard of cleanliness, comfort, or transparency, and it significantly impacted our trip. Initial Room Condition Upon entering our room, we were immediately hit with an overpowering smell resembling strong paint fumes. The odor was so intense it made members of my family feel physically unwell. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of the issues. The condition of the room was completely unacceptable: Bedding covered in visible stains Pull-out sofa in a filthy state, also heavily stained Hair present in the beds, including what appeared to be head hair and more concerning types of hair Caulking material inside electrical outlets What appeared to be a bug in the bed, raising serious concerns about possible bed bugs This level of cleanliness is shocking and unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one catering to families. Room Change – Continued Issues After reporting these concerns, we were moved to another room and refunded the early check-in fee. While I appreciate that step, the replacement room still presented major problems. The bathroom layout was clearly flawed, with a toilet so poorly positioned that the bathroom door cannot open properly without hitting it. This makes basic use of the facilities awkward and impractical. Additionally, despite the reservation clearly stating five guests (two adults and three children), there was no extra bedding given. "
