"Room size was nice and big but this is not really a luxury hotel. Check in lines long. My car didn’t show locked until 1 hour after I gave it to valet, and gas level was much lower than what I left it. "

"The Menger is a historic building. I love staying at Historical places, but it felt different this time. Didn’t feel as upscale as in the past. The colonial restaurant wasn’t open so that took a lot away from our experience. Just felt like an aged hotel with a bunch of loud families with annoying teenagers staying there. Lots of construction and street closures in the area too. Staff was not overly helpful. Just average check in. No help getting bags from valet. Room was fine. Tiny bathroom. Ok bed. "

"Great resort if you have children and are ready to use the kitchen. Lazy river and main pool are great. All heated. There’s only One restaurant and the hours are limited."

"Smell of weed was impossible to avoid from the parking lot all the way to the 8th floor. Wet towels were left at each door throughout the hall from each room. Had to wait for a while when I asked for clean towels. Woke up with a few bug bites on arms and legs each night. Check in staff had to be corrected as I booked 3 nights, they claimed it was only 1 until they checked again. They wanted to charge me $10 for free parking claiming its a fee to self park, when booking said free self-parking. I asked for a roll-away bed, they denied it and said I already had a king size and a double bed (4 people). There's a Country Inn and Suites next door I should have booked instead. Won't stay here again. "

"Overall lovely clean hotel, their signature scent is amazing (welcoming and calming). Some minor things are the rooms have lots of bare walls, some pictures would go a long way to add to the decor. Furnishings appear dated such as the chairs being very worn and the metal headboard with lots of scratches."

"Very noisy hallways during night. Horrible signage to find hotel. No coffee at breakfast. One and done on this one "
