"Great stay, here three nights. Quick and excellent staff, breakfsst was more than expected. The well appointed exercise was a plus. There were several great restaurants close by( casellis) as well as the hotels."

"Absolute gem of a place with stand out friendly staff, amazing location. Our room even had a view of St Peter’s basilica which was beautiful at sunset. When we return to Rome we’d happily choose Mama Shelter again. The pizzeria was excellent (service not superb in there but pizza was great). There are some great food options around the area, we ate a typical Roman breakfast opposite Cipro Metro station. There’s a Carrefour (make sure you get a discount card as this can save you a fair bit), and Cococ was excellent a few strides out of the door, for a breakfast also (they do evening meals there). We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, it was quite pricey at €22 each - you can get a lot more in this Prati neighbourhood for much less "

"Very nice hotel away from the hustle and bustle of central Rome. Shuttle downtown is a great perk. Lobby bar is a great place to socialize and relax. The location of the hotel allows walking to neighborhood restaurants, shops and a small market. Very nice hotel and a very nice stay."

"Everything was horrible. Nothing, I mean NOTHING was as pictured. SO DIRTY! Staff was nice. "

"The property was in easy walking distance of the vatican, other attractions where walkable for us but some people may prefer to use public transport. The room was modern with a great shower room and comfortable bed. I would of preferred proper cups instead of a single use cup, so we could have had a hot drink in the evening and coffee in the morning, but apart from this the property was ideal. "

"To go anywhere you need to go by bus. A McDonalds and one restaurant were about a 5 minute walk. Never had hot water, warm at best. Mattress hasn’t been replaced in awhile, or just the cheapest they could purchase. Breakfast is nothing special. Expected more than th hotel was able to deliver. Would stay somewhere else next time for the price."
