I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Abpopa. The hosts were kind and generous with their time and recommendations. The room was full of light, clean, and as a single woman staying alone, I felt completely safe.

This hotel nails the basics: its central location is spot-on for exploring San Diego, rooms are updated (love the fun wallpaper and bathroom tiling), and they've got secure parking if you're driving (worth purchasing since parking is difficult in the busy area). It's no-frills, but perfect if you're looking for a comfortable, central place to stay. Definitely recommend!

great stay!!

I didn't think the prices to pay for breakfast or dinner were worth what we were given. It was just a bit too expensive for us.

I originally booked a non-refundable king room for my wife and I. I then found out my daughter was going to be in town so tried to switch it to a 2 double bed room. Expedia wanted to charge me for a whole new room. Went to the hotel and they changed my room with no problem. For this alone I give them 5 stars.

This place rocks! Try it out.

I've stayed here before, and really like the location, the friendliness, and reasonable rates. There is still no restaurant within the facility, but there is now a Starbucks "PickUp" here. I recommend the Hotel for anyone wishing to be near Balboa Park/Zoo, Gaslamp District, and/or Seaport Village.

My husband and I went for a little weekend getaway and the hotel was lovely. We had an ocean view room with a big balcony. It was surprisingly quiet. You can walk everywhere, we left our car parked the whole time. The hotel staff is so friendly!!

Beautiful design. Very clean. Great location with easy access to highways to all parts of the city. Lots of shopping & food options nearby. Friendly staff.

We've stayed here over many years and enjoy the view of the ocean from our room. You can watch the Surfers! The hotel is in a wonderful spot where you can walk to shopping, restaurants, and of course walking over to the beach

Loved the shuttle service to Old Town. We’ve stayed there before and didn’t have that option. It was so convenient to have the shuttle service. Driver was super friendly.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and pampered. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and the hotel's amenities were top-notch. We especially appreciated the attentiveness and kindness of Jessica, she was exceptional, so attentive and caring in making our stay not only comfortable but memorable as well.
