"Superb stay. Great location just a short walk to the main centre of the old town and round the corner from Charles de Gaulle birthplace. George was very friendly and hospitable. Check in was on a Sunday afternoon so no staff were around but it was very easy. The room was spotless, clean, fresh & cosy after putting on the heating. Not good if you are tall! Parking was possible on the street. Free on Sunday or after 7 pm until 9am then 3€/hr using the Easypark app. Breakfast was simple, fresh...

"Breakfast: I missed plain fruits like oranges and apples, there only processed fruit salad. I missed yogourt. There was only cottage cheese. Plain milk was very good. Seeded bread was very good. Staff was excellent, very helpful, understanding and friendly. Hôtel was very convenient, nearby train stations. Hôtel was very clean, peaceful and quiet. I warmly recommend Ibis Budget Vieux Lille."

"Spacious bunk bed, personal storage for a backpack (not for suitcases). Didn't try bar but it was very busy. Ideally situated in the heart of Lille old town and paid parking until 7pm on the doorstep of hostel."

"Good hotel, 20 minutes outside of Lillle It was Sunday so the restaurant was not open but we found somewhere within walking distance to eat so not a problem. Lots of free parking and a nice breakfast. "

"Upscale hotel that borders on luxury for a reasonable price, close to everything. Under 10 minute walk to the heart of old town and same to Europe train station. Smaller train station is basically right out the door. Nice staff and yes the pool, spa area is cool. We'd stay here again. "

"Four chaps on a motorcycle holiday, we stayed two nights and it was perfect for us. Rooms were clean with good bathrooms, breakfast was great, the bar was open and if you didn’t fancy a 30 minute walk into the centre of Ypres, a taxi ride was €15. So much to see in the area. Staff were great and really helpful. Not fancy but a perfect base."
