"Pros - helpful and friendly check in, great tea tray, big tv and massive choice of channels, comfy big bed, fan already in the room. Cons - limited parking (4 spots) on first come first served basis, located in student area so lots of activity but depending on your age that might be a Pro (lol)"

"Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast is always good and cooked fresh. We try staying here as often as we can when we are in Newcastle. Jesmond is a 20 minute walk away from the centre of Newcastle. With bus and metro transport options also available. Can’t rate the hotel or area highly enough. "

"I honestly cannot tell you what a hidden gem this place is. It blew our mind. We came to go to a nearby wedding so kind of booked it without really looking and OMG what a treat. Firstly everyone’s so nice, staff / locals cannot do enough for you which is such a rare thing these days. The rooms are outstanding, cleanest place I’ve stayed and the breakfast is probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had. We will deffo be back - such incredible value too. My biggest recommendation I’ve ever made"

"There is not much around the property specifically but it is ideal for access to Durham and a cosy alternative to central chain hotels. Great, home cooked food and friendly staff at good value. Good sized room with great shower. Free parking a bonus. Bar gets quiet early though!!"

"Lovely room (Derwent!) My second stay but had this room both times and it’s my favourite room already. Sizeable room, spotlessly clean. Staff are great, with nothing too much trouble. Food is great. Large portions of well prepared and delicious food. Breakfast is great too. Great location for exploring the local area"
