"The hotel is in the middle of a business complex and has no real front entrance to drive up to. It was necessary to DRAG our luggage from our car 60-90 feet to an elevator then another 100+ feet to another elevator. Then drag your luggage another 150 feet to the front door of the hotel. The staff was very unfriendly and not the least bit helpful. The room was very small and the shower had BLACK MOLD in the molding. The bathroom light had no switch so when you sent into the room in the middle of the night the light came on FULL BRIGHT ! I would rate this motel just a few steps BELOW Motel 6."
"Friendly staff from check in to check out. Hotel is within walking distance to the main hub of Bruges. Room was clean and tidy with a box of Belgian chocolates on the bed was a nice touch."
"Clean and comfy, having the A/C was a treat with the heat wave. Great central location a quick walk from everything, bike shares right outside the door for a ~10 minute ride to either train station."
"I travelled to Belgium to pick up my puppy from her breeder, and the staff were PHENOMENAL about helping me ensure everything went well.
The staff were very helpful, and the hotel was kept clean. Cleaning staff were friendly and considerate.
The train platform is very close, but lacks signage to know where to go for streets/hotels - turn right, NOT left, when you come to the 'T' ;)
I do wish the elevator announcers were quieter, as getting up in the middle of night I felt horrible when they loudly announced doors opening >_<
The pizza available for purchase from the hotel (as the only meal item from the hotel itself and not the expensive outside-company shop in lobby) was unimpressive. Breakfast offerings were basic, but fresh. Location has a small shop less than 2 min walk from the parking lot, which also helped."
"Fabulous location. Stunning facility. Grounds were meticulously maintained. Restaurant and Bar were well done. And Spa was very nice.
Only rub was reception staff was a bit unhelpful in general. Their coordination with Spa was poor and not even close to effectively communicating. Seemed to be a point of friction. Room for reception staff to improve!"
"BIG problems with AC, on entire 5th floor....known to staff. We were booked 3 nights. 2 nights struggling with warm room. First evening we phoned to front desk to complain of warm room, with no actual help except "our computer shows it is working".
Finally on 2nd afternoon, after 4 calls and 1 and 1/2 wasted hours and no real help except for advice from reception that 'the computer shows it is working", I stomped up to reception and asked to move rooms. They then advised the 5th floor was having problems - ??? why not tell us that sooner???
They tried to reboot their computer program yet again.....then finally at the 2 hour mark move us into a room on 7th floor where the AC worked. Then, when I asked for a free glass of wine for myself and husband as compensation, I was initially told "no, you haven't had any major problems, and its not our fault". REALLY??!! I finally pushed hard enough to get 2 glasses of wine. Our friends in another room on 5th floor had same problem, finally moved. Another guest from 5th floor checked out with a full refund.
I was really frustrated that they made no effort to resolve the problem once it became apparent there was an issue, and that I had to push to move rooms, push for a compensatory glass of wine. We wont be back."
