Longue Vie Hôtels
8/10 Good
"Loved it here because of how central it was and within a walkable environment. The breakfast was great and the rooms were spacious and with a balcony. Lovely."
"Pros:
- Hotel grounds are extremely well kept and clean, grass is cut and it is aesthetically pleasing
- Restaurant food was good, it did not give us any stomach issues or food poisoning
- Water park is decent for children, I have been to better but this will keep the children entertained.
CONS:
- Room was awfully designed - the toilet was separate and the sink was separate in the shower room, extremely unusual dynamic. It meant that we had to come out of the toilet without washing hands and then wash in the shower room. VERY STRANGE
- the shower has zero privacy, so unless you want your children to see you naked or anyone else you are sharing with, it is a big NO. You can see into the shower room, not sure why they have this.
- rooms are very dated, not4* standard, old.
- not enough storage in rooms
- staff in the restaurant are not helpful but this is because they are understaffed, they have one or two waiters managing an entire area, so every single time we had to request water and cutlery, it was very slow.
- food hygiene is awful - not enough tongs to pick up food, vegetarian food and meat food next to each other which meant people mixed the tongs due to shortage of tongs
- the worst thing for us was, NO Kettle to make baby formula. We begged with them to provide us with one so we could feed our baby and agreed to pay an extra charge, however, they did not provide this. So we had to keep going to the bar every time to make formula. NOT ideal if you have a baby."
"Well to start i had a poolside room which to my knowledge i can walk out my room and be close to the pool. That wasnt the case i had a second floor room that if you look out the window you see the pool not even a terrace. Staff did help and for fee i upgraded to the ambassador room that had a patio and not far from pool. This hotel was nice and good staff but far from a 5⭐️. One small buffet for all the guest( food was very good actually ) but no variety, liquor you had some cheap gin, vodka, rum or wiskey. No brand names no variety at all. The pool was nice, but the bees were in clouds all over your drink and cloths. Ppl were fighting bees the whole time. Was it nice yes was ok, would i go back, no i wouldn’t. For a Marriott this was a step down. Wasnt horrible but wasnt the 5⭐️ its advertised to be."
"Attentive staff. Spacious room. Clean facilities. A little distance (7 min walk) from the shops, cafes and other sites in the Medina but it was nice to have a bit of quiet and relaxation."
"The staff, the property maintenance, breakfast 10/10. There is construction currently going on but it did not disturb my sleep. The property is next to a mall and Buddha bar restaurant."
"I would recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely be back! I was sick one of the days and being able to order room service was such a great help when I was in bed.
The pool and terrace is fantastic and also the food / restaurant on site."
"Loved the restaurants and the staff. Excellent Raib upon arrival. Very attentive and the place was very busy but our room was still quiet. Nice room. Would recommend."
