The Vista Inn
10/10 Excellent
"We had a couple of birds that had punched holes in the siding and were nesting in the wall. We could hear them coming and going as soon as the daylight started."
"Quick checkin. Lovely location by water where we had a picnic dinner. Ongoing renovations so room was bright with fresh paint. Bbqs were clean and pool looked great."
"Nice hotel. Very clean. Bed was a little firm, but could be new, with nice pillows. Good continental breakfast with a great multi-option coffee machine."
"The room I got on this visit was not great and the cleaning staff need to work a little harder. They left the shower head pointed outside of the shower so the bathroom ended up soaked when I started the shower. The towel shelf is in such a bad spot that I have a big bruise on my shoulder because I hit it sitting up from the toilet. I stayed in 2 different rooms recently and both have fridges that are so loud that I ended up unplugging them and leaving my food in a cooler."
"Tap in bathtub wouldn’t turn off; I wouldn’t even tough the stair railings, they were so dirty. Holes in walls, torn wallpaper. A/C unit was so loud that it shook the bed.
Continental breakfast was a joke - no fruit, no yogurt- just bread for toast and 3 choices of cereal. Coffee was in the tiniest carafe, and tasted like tar.
The staff, however, were lovely; easy check in, friendly staff. Easy to park, easy checkout. The staff were the only good thing about my stay, sadly."
"It was extremely busy with sports teams and ILA Convention. Breakfast was very loud, some rude guests unfortunately leaving a large mess. Our table -only one available- was very lopsided and was difficult to eat as it kept bopping up and down.
Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Elevator extremely slow!"
"This hotel is located right on the heart of crackville. The minute we pulled into a parking spot we were approached by two homeless people and there were more hanging around all overthr area. Find a better hotel."
"What can I say other than this is a truly terrible hotel. Honestly, the word 'hotel' is being generous, it's more like a glorified hostel. The wing my room was in is ancient and separated from the rest of the hotel so you have to walk outside to get there. The room itself was terrible: no nightstands, no phone, and nothing but fluorescent cold-white lights that give you an instant headache. The walls were beat to hell, the TV didn't work, and you could hear everything happening in the hallway. I stayed one night and checked out in the morning, then found a different hotel for the rest of my stay. I would never, ever stay here again."
