Stonefield Castle Hotel
8/10 Good
"The hotel was all-round lovely, tho our room was a little neat in size but perfectly adequate. Food was very well presented and good variety tho perhaps more local produce could have been used"
"The staff were very friendly. The bar and the breakfast areas were beautifully presented. The room was very spaceous with stunning outlooks to the mountains. Breakfast was plentiful and good value for money."
"The hotel had great facilities especially the pool and spa. Parking was plentiful, however, EV charge station was not operating. Our room was clean and welcomevyreats were appreciated, however, all walls in our room were either stained scratched or in need of washing or repainting. Generally felt that all staff had only had minimal amount of training. "
"Lovely staff,we were able to check in early, which was so helpful
We ate in the restaurant and the food was really good with lots of variety.
Ideally located and lots of little things in the room like little chocolates and water etc"
"This is a 4 star hotel however I'd give it a 2 at best. The staff were lovely and could not have been nicer, however the room was very basic. The bed was uncomfortable, the room had a kettle and very basic tea and coffee options. Also, we arrived and was told that no food would be served that night in the hotel but were given no prior warning to this. We then expected a full breakfast (included in the cost) but again, woke to a breakfast of cereal and pastries. At no point did anyone make us aware that there would be no hot food in the morning as well. Probably wouldn't recommend as we chose this hotel over other similarly priced hotels in the area, but fear I made the wrong choice."
