"Located out of Oxford centre but with great access to the ring road, restaurants, shops and amenities. Limited chargeable parking onsite but good on street and car park facilities nearby. Clean simple hotel, no frills or opulence as your expect from this budget chain. "
"The property was clean but scruffy. A bit run down.
The room was basic and comfortable. Bed comfortable.
The bathroom was too small. My husband is 6ft 2. He struggled to sit on the toilet. Knees against the shower screen.
The shower wasn't enclosed enough, the water leaked on the floor.
The breakfast was good, basic cooked and continental.
We weren't aware of the parking at the back of the property but we managed to squeeze into a parking space at the front.
The property is 25/30 min walk to Oxford city centre. Which suited us."
"It was a comfortable bed but lacking in other areas. After seeing the picture of the hotel it was disappointing to find our room was not in the main hotel but the garden Annex. This was an unpleasant looking concrete building detached from the hotel and quite a walk in poor weather. Also we were left with only one 2 even though it was a booking for 2. Also we were convinced that we had chosen the package with breakfast but it turned out this was not part of it. So I cannot comment on the food. "
"Good room - sheets, towels, bed, lighting etc fine, nice decor, spacious. Excellent shower.
hotel has no restaurant, bar, sitting room, gym or other facilities beyond the room
Room was missing many small essentials appropriate for this class and price level hotel eg, no fridge, no coffee maker, no conditioner in shower, no bathroom vanity kit, no wine glasses or nice drinks tumblers, and for a hotel without any restaurant or bar, no snacks or minbar items available at reception. These things are all easily fixed cheaply, and should be.
Staff do not greet guests when they walk past reception - noted multiple times."
"We had a really lovely spacious room with a little patio and outdoor seating. The bed was very comfortable, lovely clean bedding, and the bathroom was spotless. Very nice toiletries.
We decided to have dinner at the last minute which was really very nice.
Nice river walk into the centre of Oxford rather than walking along the main road.
The only negative was having to pay £25 for parking! "
"An incredible hotel sorely let down by the cleanliness of our room - staff and facilities fabulous; location fabulous; but can’t overlook this basic malfunction."
"Great location. Hotel looks new, everything clean, tidy and smart. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice - hot and cold. Next to Kassam Football Stadium and Hollywood Bowl, plus Frankie & Bennys. Quite busy whilst the football was on, but generally quiet location."
