"I recently stayed at Henann Regency & Spa and found the overall experience disappointing.
From the moment of arrival, the reception lacked warmth and hospitality. The staff immediately requested the deposit without offering a proper greeting, welcome drink, or even a simple inquiry about our journey. These small gestures would have made a meaningful difference.
Upon entering our room, I took a quick shower and discovered that the drain was clogged, causing water to back up. Attempts to contact housekeeping were unsuccessful as the phone was not working, and my partner had to go to reception to report the issue. When maintenance arrived, he promptly attributed the problem to hair in the drain, despite the fact that I had not washed my hair.
We were then relocated to the adjacent room; however, the Wi-Fi connection there was consistently poor throughout our stay. It was only the night before our departure that a staff member informed us that certain rooms have Wi-Fi dead spots, including ours. If this is a known issue, appropriate measures such as installing Wi-Fi boosters should be implemented.
At the breakfast buffet, no explanation of the process was provided, leaving us to navigate it on our own.
The check-out experience was similarly unsatisfactory. The receptionist did not inquire about our stay and immediately proceeded to deduct a fee from the deposit due to a lost key card. When I requested a feedback form, her tone was discourteous, and she stated it would be provided"
"The staff harassed me and did not allow me to leave the hotel because they wanted to photocopy my passport. I show the lady upon check-in my ID. The ladies when checking out stopped the guide and did not allow him to leave. I said I show my ID when i checked in, paid for my room, got my key, slept for 8 hrs and left. Staff is crazy for harrasing me, as though I have commited a crime. I stayed in so many hotels in PHL and Boracay no issue. But Hennan is weird. Also lots of fruit flies during breakfast in the fruits area."
"Leeah at breakfast was just outstanding for remembering my decaf order every morning. Floor of room constantly feeling sticky & they need to provide more towels in the room. Free drinking water in the room but not enough. Location is not as convenient as you need to walk 20 mins to get a decent meal & 1/2hr downtown. Ok for most cities but Boracay is hot. Free shuttle available to downtown & back but need pre-booking & timing is a bit off. Once, we had to wait for 40 mins. "
"Location of the hotel was perfect, walking to the beach, restaurants are close by. The only thing is our room's view was trash, there was hammering next to our room and it was loud. Otherwise this is a perfect place and location to stay. "
"I had a mixed experience during my stay. The room itself was clean and the staff were generally polite, which I appreciated. However, there were a few significant issues that affected our overall comfort.
We came as a group and booked a total of 5 rooms. Unfortunately, 3 out of the 5 rooms had air conditioning units that were blowing very weak air. In our case, we reported the issue multiple times and were told to wait 20–30 minutes for it to cool down, but even after 2 hours, the room remained hot. This was especially concerning as we were traveling with an 11-month-old who was already sweating and uncomfortable. It took several follow-ups before any action was taken, and eventually we were all moved to different rooms.
Additionally, the pool area did not feel well-maintained. Some of the tiles were loose, and a sharp piece actually came off and injured my husband’s foot. While the staff did offer to bring him to a clinic, I believe there should have been more accountability or compensation given that this involved a safety issue with the amenities we paid for.
Overall, while the cleanliness and staff attitude were good, the delays in resolving issues, multiple room issues within our group, and safety concerns were disappointing. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again."
