If you can't wait to get to the beach, you might enjoy a trip to Geriba Beach located 2.3 mi (3.7 km) from central Búzios. If you want to continue walking by the waves, head to Manguinhos Beach, Ferradurinha Beach, and Canto Esquerdo da Praia de Geribá, located nearby.
"Location of the hotel was excellent, easy access to the square with many dining options, beach access was a nice 20 minute walk, once at the beach area there were many shops ranging from food, drug stores and food options. The hotel breakfasts were good, go early as the hot portions went fast but you could as for more. The hotel did not have an iron or ironing board or a dresser to put clothes in, lived out of a suit case, over all we really enjoyed our stay."
"Everything ood and clean. I loved there. The only thing breakfast was everyday the same thing, but very clean and beautiful, but a little simple. I like " pão de queijo " and my wife like " honey and jam " they didn't have. But very clean place and stuffs."
"Friendly and helpful staff, great location. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning. Clean room, but had a room facing the main street, the bar across street bumps music quite loudly so its not too peaceful at times. "
"Wow, from the time we arrived to the day we left the staff including Guilherme, Nicholas And Lucas to name a few were so amazing. All the staff at the bar and Alta were great too. Breakfast was a lovely choice of different baked goods, fruit, or you could order eggs omlettes waffles etc. fresh juice tea and coffee were serve yourself.
The two pools although small were adequate for a quick dip, the spa pool had great views and was a warmer temperature.
The room we had was a good size, massive king size bed and had a lovely little terrace. Very comfy and quiet. The location is great too, just down some cobbled steps to the main st and a short walk into town or to a beach or to get a water taxi to another beach. We can’t wait to return, hopefully in two years with some friends to celebrate some birthdays. "
"We had a very mixed experience at Own Búzios. While the staff was initially very kind and the location is excellent conveniently across from a grocery store and easy to get around the room and maintenance issues were disappointing.
We were first checked into a room with a shared bathroom despite booking a Premium Double. Once rectified, the second room had a broken AC. We eventually landed in a third room that felt quite run-down with stained sheets. The garden was poorly maintained, with high weeds and even mushrooms growing on the porch.
The main positives were the very comfortable bed, a nice pool area for a post-beach swim, and the friendly initial welcome. However, these were overshadowed by a lack of property maintenance and a repetitive breakfast that seemed recycled over our four-day stay. Another down side m was the checkout experience where we were presented with an open bar tab. It felt like they tried to charge us for our "complimentary" welcome drinks, and the staff seemed irritated when we disputed it.
Next time, I’ll likely try one of the nearby pousadas instead."
"Café da manhã ok, staff muito simpático, o ponto alto do hotel com certeza. O hotel fica um pouco distante da praia e de alguns pontos de interesse. Mas o ponto mais baixo pra mim foi a conservação do local, precisa de reparos, lençóis e fronhas encardidas, cheiro de mofo no quarto, corredores e cheiro estranho na água. Para apenas 1 noite, e como o objetivo não era lazer, foi ok, para uma hospedagem mais longa e com foco em lazer eu não ficaria novamente. "
"Apesar de, na nossa chegada, o ambiente não estar totalmente limpo, durante toda a estadia a limpeza foi impecável.
A equipe merece destaque: todos são extremamente solícitos, educados e atenciosos. Em especial, o recepcionista Felipe, que se destacou pela prestatividade e cordialidade. Na praia, o atendimento do Carlos também foi excelente e digno de elogios.
Como sugestão de melhoria, o espumante servido no café da manhã aos domingos poderia ser oferecido como uma taça de boas-vindas no momento do check-in. Além disso, a música ao vivo no restaurante seria melhor aproveitada pelos hóspedes se tivesse início por volta das 17h, em vez de encerrar nesse horário, já que muitos ainda estão na praia durante a tarde. Essa mudança provavelmente contribuiria para aumentar o consumo no restaurante."
