"I hate to write bad reviews, but I have to be honest. If you like a comfortable hotel, do not stay here. This is not really a hotel and feels more like a hostel. I am extremely disappointed in the photos they posted online compared to the reality. The hallways are filthy and dark. There is an old, tiny elevator that looks dirty.
The room itself is dark and very dated. The hallway had a foul smell. I cannot believe how much they charge per night to stay here. It was honestly horrible. If you value comfort, I would not recommend staying here. Leaving our hotel in Madrid and coming here was such a shock. It felt like a huge downgrade and it honestly made the start of our Paris stay very disappointing because I like to stay in clean, comfortable hotels when I travel.
I had to mentally prepare myself just to take a shower in the tiny, outdated bathroom. There was nowhere to place toiletries. There were also no robes or slippers provided for the cold floor. In their photos they show a nice robe hanging as if it is a proper four star hotel, which is very misleading. In my opinion this place is more like a one star, maybe two star property. I am not sure how the ratings on Expedia are so high.
The TV is not a smart TV and all the channels are in French while we speak English. We could not even watch YouTube to pass the time while in the room.
The only positive thing about this place was the employees. None of this was their fault.
I really hated staying here."
"Overall, we had a very positive experience during our stay. The staff were very friendly, the lobby felt cozy and welcoming, and the location was excellent, with many shops and restaurants nearby. A bonus is the close proximity to the metro (RER) station, which made getting to and from the airport very convenient.
That said, the room cleanliness could be improved. The floor was somewhat scratched and dusty, and the bathroom - especially the shower tiles and corners - appeared noticeably worn and soiled. With some deeper cleaning and minor repairs or maintenance, the hotel definitely has great potential."
"This hotel is doable for a short stay. We only stopped by Paris for two nights so I’m not bothered about the tight space; however, I would not stay here on my normal Paris vacation. Overall, this is a decent hotel, the location is conveniently close to the metro and restaurants, and it’s well-kept. My main issues are: they really don’t clean the room thoroughly, the bath towels are the smallest and thinnest I’ve ever had, even though we booked a room for two, they only provided one bathrobe and one set of slippers - had to ask for a second set. Generally speaking, it seems they were trying to cut down costs but at the comforts of customers. "
"Beautiful property is an absolutely delightful location, entering the hotel plunges you into an intimate world that feels comforting and exciting simultaneously. The check-in experience is smooth and bags are whisked away. The room was surprisingly well designed — despite a tiny footprint we didn’t feel cramped at any point. The generously sized shower cabin fit two, and the genius design of the closets meant everything had its place, again despite the small room size.
Now, for the cons. The hotel simply felt like it was being run on a budget. Rooftop terrace, which is put front and centre on the hotel listing to entice you to book, was not open or running — and in fact, it was run down and dirty. It simply looked neglected. We didn’t care and took our glasses of champagne to the roof to enjoy the unparalleled views, but it’s worth noting that even closed it could have at least been nicely kept.
Towels are not abundant, and the bath robes are veritably skimpy. When I asked about bigger robes I was told the hotel’s supplier “only does one size.” I am a relatively lean 5’7” woman, not exactly large, and the robe was mid-thigh and mid forearm on me. If you happen to be tall or larger, they simply won’t have a bath robe to suit.
I called down to ask for more herbal tea bags as they had not been replenished during cleaning service. I was asked which ones I wanted, specifically. How bizarre to have your client try to remember your tea bags.
All in: 4/5. Thank you. "
