The spa was also a good experience.
Some staff were friendly, we ran into more attitude than welcoming staff. At the premium level we waited extended periods of time for everything, I left multiple times to not waste my day in the lobby.
Our room was very warm, and we asked to have the fan speed or room looked at multiple times and nothing happened.
We have a good time in the casino, Carey’s bar was the exact opposite. The bar tenders were rude & had zero patience if you struggle with Spanish.
The food was moderate, plan on 2 hours per dinner reservation. If you are hungry or want a quicker meal stick with the buffet, which wasn’t much different than the restaurant food.
At the end when I went to settle the bill I wasn’t told I’d be charged for a beach dinner, I was told premium can do this. They charged me $120 US.
Overall it was a disappointing experience for the price tag and lack of a distinguished difference between the premium price we paid. If you only speak English you’ll struggle at this resort so I’d suggest a little prep prior

"Th beach was the best part about the resort. The resort itself is very basic, the food at the buffet was awful, we went to three specialty restaurants which were decent. As far as the rooms, they are very basic, on our second night our air conditioner went out and it could not be fixed so we had to be moved. Third night in our new room, the air conditioner went out again, could not be fixed. Had to be moved once again we weren’t offered any upgrades for our inconvenience of having to pack our room up twice. If you’re looking for a nice beach, this place will be for you other than that I will not ever go back again."
"The thing that I like, the most was the avocado from dinner things that I like the least, where the cheap liquor every soda taste like if it was a diet soda the food was not the greatest. The hallway smelled either like throw up or piss. There was cats on the property some dogs as well. And one morning, going to see the sunrise I found a dead bird right in the walk path in between my hotel room and the lobby where I have to go and inform the front desk that they had a dead bird lying down in the path. Female staff personnel will hide in the bathroom to use their cell phones with no common courtesy or anything."
