What you need to know before you go

Suffolk is an East Anglian county that’s noted for its historic towns and large tracts of farmland and countryside. One of England’s largest counties, it’s a very picturesque place, with beautiful beaches, charming villages and bustling port towns.

Among the main points of interest in Suffolk are towns like Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and Felixstowe as well as villages like Boyton, Aldeburgh and Lavenham. Look out for some of the country’s finest fish and chips, racing at Newmarket and a remarkable number of historic windmills dotted around the countryside.
