Annoying environment

Each year, I spend one month in Cozumel to visit my daughter. It was my first time in Hotel B Unique. During two full days, there was an event organized by Body Talks Women. It happened to be a very invasive and noisy meeting gathering around 100 yelling women, with loud speeches all day long. All the people who wished to spend their vacation in a quiet and peaceful environment were upset and complained about the occurence of that meeting. It is unfortunate, the service was excellent. But if the management of that hotel prefers to go in that direction, I will not return to that hotel, not knowing if my sojourn will coincide with this kind of event.

Enjoyed a very relaxing 7 night stay at this 44-room hotel with my husband in early January starting with the warm welcome from Marco when we first arrived. Our vacation was dedicated to resting, reading and relaxing and Hotel B is the perfect place to be as active as you wish (e.g., snorkelling) or to just go slow. We recommend booking a room with a balcony to watch the sunrise or sunset over the ocean. Shout out to more amazing staff: the lovely and hardworking Claudia from the restaurant who brought our made to order breakfast each morning and launched our day on a positive note; the very knowledgeable David from the front desk; and the amazing Vicky from the spa who gave my husband and I a soothing hot stone massage - please treat yourself to a massage from Vicky to get you in the zen zone. My husband and I are contemplating travelling to Cozumel each January and staying at Hotel B as a way to launch the new year on a blissful note. Thank you to everyone for the memorable experience and hope to see you soon!

Ok hotel with good views

The hotel offers stunning views and beautiful rooms, which is essentially what you’re paying for here. When it comes to other aspects, such as the quality of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it’s average at best. This is definitely not a 5-star hotel as Google suggests—at most, it deserves 4 stars, perhaps even just 3.5. The included breakfast during the first few days was extremely subpar. There was no protein aside from eggs—no cold cuts, no bacon. As a result, we ended up ordering additional à la carte dishes instead. On the last day, the hotel seemed to notice this and served a more comprehensive breakfast. During one meal, I ordered a poke bowl, which was served without soy sauce or any dressing. Additionally, the salmon was not sushi-grade but hot-smoked, which was disappointing given the expectations for this dish. Important to note: If you lose your room key, it will cost you 100 MXN pesos. I’ve never encountered a fee for this at other hotels. The hotel’s pictures are very misleading—they make you believe this is a small boutique hotel with 28 rooms and a serene, yoga-inspired atmosphere. In reality, the hotel shares all facilities, including the breakfast area, bar, and pool, with a sister hotel. The breakfast area was far from calm and peaceful, and there were families with children and dogs staying during our visit. Since all facilities are shared between the two hotels, guests from the sister property also occupy the “adults-only” pool at this hotel.

Mixed feelings about Hotel B

Mixed experience at Hotel B Unique. The good things are: - Well appointed rooms with great sea view. Very nice desk. - Excellent access to the water for snorkelling (safe and easy to use). - Nice facilities. The limitations: - Pretty poor food (same breakfast every day) - No black tea (so if you're a tea drinker, bring your own) - No means of boiling water in your room (the coffee maker only makes luke warm water) - we ended up buying a kettle from the supermarket - Loud music much of the day that you can't escape (though doesn't go late into the evening).

El área de alberca y tumbonas muy reducido. No tienen como si una área de Bar y cierran 10:30, me pareció muy temprano para ser un hotel solo adultos. El desayuno está incluido pero te quieren cobrar todo extra y es lo mismo todos los días.

Holiday

Nice upmarket hotel with very nice rooms. Bit let down by management. Did not honour the flexible reservation and allow the change of duration of one of the two rooms we booked well before we arrived. Included breakfast restrictive, omelet allowed but no poached eggs, certain juices etc. No proper tea options (only camomille and green tea), no butter one day, proper coffee was an extra etc. Service in restaurant slow and we left one day without breakfast as nothing was produced in 30 minutes although we told them we were in a hurry to go to an excursion.Overall nice but could do with certain improvements.

El hotel está bonito el area de la alberca del B Unique, que viene dando lo mismo que el hotel B porque se comparten algunas áreas comunes. En lo personal, dejó mucho que desear, la cocina es muy lenta, el desayuno le faltaba mucha sal. La alberca esta HELADA a cualquier hora y el jacuzzi no servía. Si se hospedan aquí renten con vista al mar, si no, no vale la pena.
