I arrived around 9:45pm, directly from the airport. The lobby was incredibly loud due to a packed event taking place at the bar. I was exhausted and hungry, and was told that room service was still available, but that the QR code for the menu was not working. I was told to take a photo of the menu at the bar before going up to my room, which I did.
Once I got up to my room, I called room service. The line rang and rang and eventually went to the operator. I called again and the same thing happened. I phoned the front desk and explained what happened and they transferred me back to room service. Still no answer. I called the front desk again and they transferred me again, without allowing me to finish speaking. By this point, I was frustrated. I called the front desk again and explained what was going on. The woman who answered said “they’re busy because of the event. There’s nothing I can do.” I explained that this really puts a damper on the experience of any guest at the hotel that wasn’t with the event and she said “okay” and restated there was nothing she could do to help me.
I finally just went down to the crowded and very loud bar to order food to go. When the food was ready, the server didn’t even acknowledge me. She simply placed the food on the bar next to me and turned away to talk to one of the bartenders.
The customer service overall was terrible and I was left feeling extremely devalued. I travel to the area regularly for work and will NEVER stay here again.
