The balcony I chose couldn’t see the sunset, and the room was very small, the toilet didn’t even have an exhaust, the air conditioner was very noisy, and there were two doors in the room leading to the next door, although it was sealed, it felt unsafe, and the sound insulation was particularly poor

Great location, great staff!

I was born in Sarasota, and this particular location I am very fond of because it's so close to the Van Weizel center and beautiful Sarasota Bay. Staff were great! It happened to be prom week when we were there and also some youngsters from a soccer tournament but everybody was extremely well mannered and appeared to be having a great time, and a great staff seems to make that happen. The pool was very active and the hot tub was very nice as well. My only serious issue was parking previously they allowed the parking garage on a non-valet option. Now the parking garage is valet only and your only option is off-site parking. So if you don't want to pay $45 per day plus tipping, you have to park off-site and leave your vehicle at risk.

La struttura è in una buona posizione rispetto al centro ed alla marina. Non rispetto al mare anche se rispetto al mare bisognerebbe andare a Lido beach. C’è un bellissimo parco davanti e la piscina è carina anche se praticamente sempre all’ombra. La stanza normale ma i mobili molto molto vecchi. La cosa peggiore il “valer”, 45 dollari al giorno per avere la macchina a pochi metri dall’ingresso e dover anche aspettare che te la prendano!

No A/C and no customer service

No A/C? When we arrived we found out the hotel hadn’t had air conditioning since Monday. We showed up on Friday and were told they had installed a new unit but that didn’t seem to be the case cause it was the hottest most miserable hotel experience I ever had. Also this happened 5 days before we arrived and no one could reach out and tell us or let us know if we wanted to make other accommodations that would be an option because of no A/C at the hotel. Not very accommodating, rooms were trashed and not great shape. Handles falls off the shower, just very poor and will be reaching out to Hyatt corporate cause what I paid is not nearly worth what we got.

Hyatt must be under new leadership

We arrived and found out that there was no air-conditioning on a 90° weekend. We had a $750 a night room on the ninth floor! It was super hot. They did end up refunding us for our stay however I don’t think that was worth the experience. We later found out that the hotel is slated for demolition June 2 so there’s not much desire to get things operable. The place is literally falling apart. Save yourself the trouble and go just about anywhere else. The staff was very helpful and understanding, unfortunately Hyatt management is pushing them to continue to sell rooms in this dilapidated hotel that they do not intend to keep operable after June 2, 2025. Very disappointed in the Hyatt brand for allowing this to happen.

Beautiful spot

Beautiful spot to stay while we attended a function at Marina Jack’s. We took a $2 shuttle bus from Sarasota Airport (about 10 minute trip). When it came time to go to the marina, we decided to walk which only took about 15 minutes. Friendly people, great service. While i agree with other reviewers about the hotel needing updating, for me it did not affect our stay at all. I would definitely stay here again!

Staff needs attitude adjustment

Our stay could’ve been made better by any sort of recognition or sincerity from the front desk staff. No one was flat out rude, but we spoke with the team members almost daily and not one person asked how we were enjoying our stay, or wished us a good day with a smile when we were heading out. A friend tried to send us a bottle of champagne for our wedding celebration just to be told it simply can’t be done without any explanation or other alternative offering. Meanwhile, I requested a bottle of champagne be sent to the room for my husbands birthday a few days prior and they were able to make it happen. Even upon checkout I asked if anything else needed to be done besides dropping off keys and was just told “I’m all set” without a smile or a simple well wish for safe travels. The accommodations were wonderful however, but the general tone from staff was lacking any sort of pleasantries. My husband and I both come from service/hospitality and are very understanding that bad days happen, but to be treated this way for our entire stay was disappointing.

Overcharged and Under delivered

Price was not as advertised on hotel.com website. First a $30 per night “resort fee” was added then $45 per night parking valet parking fee was added. No self parking was allowed. With tax on these 2 extra fees the real price was over $80 more than the listed price. Bait and switch at its finest. Also the hotel is dated and in poor condition. A very wobbly desk in the room was ready to collapse and hurt someone. A probably damaged piece of carpet was cut and a piece was sewed in. Looked poor.

Long weekend Getaway.

The service, cleanliness, and amenities are excellent. The hotel is also walking distance from restaurants and activities. Unfortunately, the construction next to the hotel work us up at 5:00 am. The noise was nonstop. It also ruined our plans to relax by the pool before heading home.
