Amazing! The location is perfect but the friendliness of the staff and the kindness is rare to find these days. Such personalized service. It's a very quaint old building - fun to lose all the frills and enjoy the beach and the basics in this wonderful establishment.

We were in Ocean City, MD for the Boardwalk Rock Festival. We stayed for 2 nights. This was the perfect place to stay. It was less than a mile to the festival entrance. Lisa is amazing. She is one of the friendliest hotel managers we've met. She took care of us and let us check in very early since our room was ready. There is private parking and a coffee shop in the lobby. The room was clean, comfortable, and fresh towels were left daily. The beach is directly outside the building and the sunrise is visible from the kitchen table. We didn't realize the room would sleep 6 comfortably or we would have shared with friends.
The kitchen/living room has a trundle bed, full size refrigerator, 4-burner stove, and utensils, plates, pans. With the trundle bed the place will sleep 6 comfortably.
There is 3 flights of stairs to get to the Raven.
The view from the living room. There is no balcony with this room.
This is the second bedroom with a double bed and full bath.

We have been in the same hotels several times. Overall, we like it a lot as it meets our requirements at reasonable price and within walking distance to beach. It has lots of amenities in this case a kitchen with appliances and dishes. A separate living room from the one bedroom which gives you more flexibility for space. If you need an elevator or swimming pool, then this one is not for you. It is an older building but well maintained and clean.

We’ve stayed at MANY hotels, in many different cities and especially Ocean City as a multi family party. 4 adults and 4 kids. And this has by far been our favorite. It’s not a Hilton or a corporate hotel by ANY means, but it’s extremely accommodating for families. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment oceanfront and it was extremely spacious, extremely clean and very home-y. Kitchen was packed with everything we could possibly need, the lady at the front desk was soooo kind, welcoming and friendly, in fact every worker was. After years of trying new spots for family vacations, we found our “home” when we visit Ocean City! My only regret is that we didn’t find it sooner!

what i did not like was that i found out that because i used Expedia; they would not let me have a choice of rooms or location. will not now or ever use Expedia again. the few dollars i saved was not worth it. i had 2 people in my party who could not do steps too well and because i used Expedia the rooms were on the 3rd floor even though i requested 1st floor. thanks, Expedia, for screwing up our stay! you forgot to mention that fact.

The Lankford and Lodge are old-time resort facilities. Don’t expect modern amenities. The Lodge is a three story building with exterior stairs to the second floor and inside stairs to the third floor. No elevators. The rooms are simple with wood floors bed and small dresser with a mini refrigerator; and small bathrooms reminiscent of the 1940-1950 era with a small wall sink, toilet and tile walk-in shower (at least that was our room). It was fun to go back in time.

Historic hotels are not without their quirks, and this one was no exception, but overall we had a really lovely 1-night stay. We arrived about half an hour before check-in, and the hotel staff was welcoming and accommodating, letting us park and check in early. The hotel is right on the boardwalk, with rocking chairs on the seaside balcony and tables for their little cafe. Our room did not have an ocean view, but it had its own balcony, kitchenette with full sized fridge, and on suite bathroom. It was spacious and clean. The shower/tub combo was a little low for my husband, and the fire suppression pipe ran over the tub. We stayed after Labor Day so hotel prices were cheap and the town was not as populated. We were there for the beach though, and it was great to be so close! They also have on-site laundry which we took advantage of, and that was very convenient. Being so close to the ocean is good for the soul, and I would definitely stay here again, quirks and all, hopefully for longer next time!
