Check in took longer than necessary. We were evidently not a priority at the time, as there was an unwelcome female lurking about that was not a guest at the property. The clerk didn't exactly instill confidence, as she went on to discuss issues the property has with homeless persons in the area. We then had an issue with our room. The fridge was not working. We would have been happy to ice our warm drinks, but the ice machine in the hall wasn't working either. To be fair, when I brought this to their attention, we were immediately switched to an alternate room, but in this room, I found 2 dirty washcloths left hanging on the shower rail and the remote control didn't work for the TV. As I still had the other room key, I took it upon myself to trade out the remote with the first room, so we were able to use the TV. The ice machine was reportedly brand new, but the water supply had not yet been attached-would've been nice to know before I wasted my time standing there with a bucket for nothing. No signage to indicate it wasn't working. The lady serving breakfast was lovely and the food was alright. I know you often 'get what you paid for', but it seemed our experience here was not worthy of the $150 rate.
