Our stay at Clarion Pointe was a disappointment. Check in was smooth and fairly quick. When we walked into our room at 4 pm, the room was warm. We turned the air down and left for the afternoon. Come back at 9 pm, not much cooler. Turned it down a few more degrees and come back at 11pm. At this point it’s cooler outside than in our room. Call the front desk to notify them and see if there’s anything they could do to help. We were told our unit was blowing cold air, our room wasn’t cool because we had the door open. This wasn’t true, we opened our door so our kids were cool enough to sleep. We asked if they had a fan, no such luck. We were told all rooms were booked so moving rooms wasn’t an option either. He came back 30 minutes later( we kept the door AND bathroom door shut) to say it’s actually not cool in here. We’re(hotel staff) are checking another room to see if that unit is okay and if so you can move to it. When I got my child up that had fallen asleep at this point, I realized there was no flat sheet on the bed she was laying in. There was infant stains on the mattress cover. Electrical outlet by bed also didn’t work. The room we moved to was much cooler and DID have sheets on the bed. The location is ideal, outdoor pool was fine, but next time our group will stay elsewhere. Our ballteam stayed at this location because it was close to RockyTop Sports but next time we will all stay elsewhere.
