We checked into Hilton Boston/Woburn because the hotel we originally had reserved was disgusting. We were excited to see the Hilton was a nice, big hotel, and the lobby area carrying the aroma of the wood fire oven from the restaurant was the cherry on top. However, maybe it was our sensitivity to the small details, upon arriving to our room, we noticed wear and tear of the wallpaper and hair in the tub, sink, floor, etc. The hotel staff addressed this by sending a housekeeper, but she didn’t quite understand why she was there (language barrier.) The front desk switched us into a different room because the shower didn’t have shampoo, conditioner, and soap as advertised. The second room was slightly cleaner, but it too showed signs of wear.
In short, this hotel could be amazing. The decor is great, the restaurant smells brilliantly, but the peeling wallpaper, chipped paint, and apparent lack of a vacuum is holding it back.
