Good sized room and bathroom. Surprisingly quiet as it is on the main road. Only problem was that they have stopped serving breakfast - only brunch after 12 noon. The local cafes were OK but only offered cooked breakfast items; for yoghurt, croissants etc it had to be Tesco next door.

Jättefina rum och personalen var både hjälpsam och trevlig. Dock är frukosten först kl 10 i form av en brunch meny och det ställde till det lite. Hade varit önskvärt och det gick att erbjuda en mindre frukost tidigare på morgonen. Annars var hotellet väldigt bra och mysigt, för det finns bara 6 rum.

Its a pub with rooms, bit tired around the edges. Good food in bar. Not great if you are unsready on your feet as old building and uneven floors in the rooms. Access out of pub hours not easy via a very hard to open fire exit to a rear yard and down a narrow set of metal stairs, wouldnt fancy it in the dark. Need to take more care cleaning as trod on glass in the bathroom. As i started its pub with rooms and overpriced for what it is.

Breakfast was advertised on the website but upon arrival we were told that as they had only taken over the pub 2 months previously that they were currently not providing it. This was inconvenient as my husband has poor mobility

Grace was awesome. Rest of staff a little standoffish and less capable. Room is a little tired with old bedding, lack of sockets (especially near the mirror) and we had a room with a large slope inside the bathroom door which was not very safe so we had to use the non-slip bath mat to safely navigate from room to bathroom. New owners need to spend a few pounds on refreshing the hotel now. Also we booked breakfast and was told that they had stopped serving it under the new owners during the week so we paid for it but had to go out and find elsewhere.

Very clean well equipped room on ground floor. Perfect for a dog friendly room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing full English breakfast. Only downside was a bit noisy in the evening, loud music and generatir noise. Ear plugs are thoughtfully provided.

My 89 year old Mum and I stayed for 2 nights. They did not respond to my special requests, e.g. possibility of twin beds. The rooms are not suitable for those with mobility issues as there are uneven floors and stairs - we do accept it is an old inn and that is part of its charm. The bar area is untidy with a delivery that stayed by the tills during all of our stay. The manager checked us in - initially under a different name until I pointed out his error. He did at least carry Mum's case up for us. The room (The Red Miller) was okay. The bed was comfortable; good quality sheets and towels. Quite a dangerous and sloping step in the bathroom though. I was impressed that there were oat milk sachets on the hospitality tray - but no ordinary tea bags. Thankfully there was a fan in the room as we were in a heatwave. Friends were dining with us that evening. Mum went to ask if the meal could be placed on our room. The manager said 'we don't do that'. Strange as he had asked for card details when we checked in. The highlight and star of our stay was the exceptional service given by the young waitress, Cosima. What a star! Even though she was run off her feet, as both inside and outside were very busy, she approached our table with such warmth and willingness. We were upset to see her bullied by the manager when he physically grabbed her to leave our table when she was simply spending a few seconds being friendly. It's okay .. and could be so much better if the manager cared more
