Arrived and was surprised that it was a remote check-in, but that went without any problems. Next morning had breakfast and the gentleman that managed the breakfast room was extremely friendly, helpful and went beyond to make the stay more comfortable. He also informed of local events for the next few days which helped fill the void after the day excursions. Will definitely book again, A+++++

Nice breakfast. Easy walk to shopping. Different Ethnic cuisines across from this hotel. Bus stop just in from of this hotel. Bus can take you to and from the Arcata /Eureka Airport.please refer to their website for most current schedules..

Walked into the lobby with a prostitute getting a room. Then met with the self check in kiosk so the hotel cuts corners on paying real staff members, outsourcing cheap virtual labor. Given room 112’s room key, all to open the door and find they were storing extra beds and utility items in there. Went to front desk to ask to cancel my room, as the experience was not acceptable. Man at front was nice, but unable to give me a receipt on-site and had to go through the rigorous report system on their third party website. $100 a night seems crazy for this location.

Our experience at Arcata Super 8 was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Be prepared to check in through a "zoom" type computer meeting. There may be someone at the desk and there may not. It was rundown, it looked like someone had a real bad day on the back of the bathroom door. But, the beds were very comfortable and that honestly is the only positive. Be careful to check your funds after paying for your stay. They kept trying to charge my card after they had received over $500. My stay should have been $348, so after 1 night it was suggested I leave so that I wouldn't be charged again. Each charge after the 500 was taken, was declined because I made sure to use a card that WAS not connected to my bank! After much time spent in the office I did receive a refund 2 days later.

The breakfast does not seem fresh like other hotels that I stayed during my trip. For example, the juice punch does not look fresh and it was not enough - it was running out. There were no scramble eggs and sausages like others or less choices as Super8 is a popular or prominent hotel. I was impressed by the way that the greeting was virtual service on screen. Thank you.

Breakfast was horrible and not fully stocked. Didnt even go on the third day because service was terrible. Inside was clean enough,outside was not by a longshot. Housekeeping was awesome, front desk was so rude and acred like assisting guests was beneath him. Couldn't really take this personally because we witnessed it with several other guests of varied ethnic backgrounds and family dynamics. The room was great, bathroom could use an update, but clean and comfortable.

I rate the cleanliness of a room by how dirty the floors are. The floors were very dirty. Tub edges were mouldy. Not a great area. The waitress at the restaurant across the way said she definitely hurried to her car at the end of her shift. The room was ok. Updated but the sheets were rough. I know that super 8 is a budget hotel. But i have been in nicer motel 6s. The whole vibe was not great.

Comfortable place and clean. Staff was nice. Would have liked a rack or stand for a suitcase. No elevator but only two floors to deal with. Continental breakfast was fine but would have liked cereal and granola and maybe yogurt. The virtual agent took longer than actual desk agent to check us in. The virtual agent machine was not functioning properly and it took us almost 30 minutes to get checked in after arriving late from a 6 hour drive. All in all it was well worth the price I paid.
