It was pitiful… Ice machine broken, had to go to front desk for ice half of bowl😩😩, pool was not working, breakfast didn’t look like nothing on the website.. cereal, hard muffins , milk and juice.. some fruits …. no good channels on the tv, no WiFi had to register as a member for something … $4.99 for some reason… but the bed was comfortable

Underwhelming breakfast: all times packaged except cereal. Fake OJ, packaged burritos, choc muffins, 3 types cereal, packaged instant hot cereal; apples. Enough for a light start to the day. Strict policy on dogs; yet a small yapper woke all up at 5:30am. It’s the owners of course that ruin it for others.

Was initially given a room with a bathtub which obviously had a hole in it which they attempted to patch. They put a totally disgusting looking rectangle shaped epoxy patch over the damage which had a nasty brownish ooze under it which you could see through the patch. I was afraid to touch the tub and asked to be moved to another room. The desk clerk (which I assumed was one of the owners) gave me another room which was much better. I appreciate the fact that he gave me a another room (after I asked for it), but I was turned off by the fact that they would actually try to rent the room with tub looking that disgusting. This is the first time this has happened to me at THIS particular motel, but it has happened to me far too often at similar small owner franchisee motels. Family owned small businesses like this know EXACTLY what the condition of each room is. As an African American, I can't help but wonder if they give out rooms in good condition or crappy condition based on what you look like. I am not generally suspicious of such things or overly sensitive, but given the frequency in which this happens, I can't help but wonder if I would have been given that room if I was White. As a fellow small business owner, I certainly understand the need to sometimes handle repairs yourself to save money, but not by presenting a product or service to customers that is unacceptable.
