The Super 8's mail hotel light was out when we arrived, and I almost turned around thinking they were closed. The check-in attendant was very friendly, but the decor appeared run-down and dirty. I went to get a bottle of water from the vending machine, which doesn't accept credit cards, so you need cash on you. There was only one bottle left, and it looked like most of the machine had been emptied and not refilled. We entered through the side door, which was propped open with a rock that still remained in the morning. No one was checking doors or security at the hotel. The room had an unpleasant smell. The bathtub drain had hair in it, and there was mold under the bath mat. The bathroom floor was also not properly cleaned. During checkout, no one was at the desk, so I left my key card in the return bin. We were tired, having checked in late and leaving early in the morning, which was the only reason we stayed. We will never stay at a Super 8 again.
