Location was great, bed was comfortable. Not so great was the lack of on site amenities and staff. The two days we stayed nothing was cleaned up. Our coffee cups from the first morning were still sitting dirty next to the coffee maker a long with dirty cups from other guest on the tables. They do say to clean up after your but provide no way of “cleaning” anything. Never experienced this at a bed and breakfast before. We called because we needed toilet paper, left a message and never got a call back. Another guest gave us a new roll from their room. Nice location and place but needs a little bit more hospitality.

Would not recommend this property or stay here again. The owners were very disrespectful when I made a complaint about them not providing what I paid for. I booked through a third party which I paid for Breakfast both days the 28th and 29th mornings which we only got on the 29th. The rooms were small and pictures that they use for the booking are not accurate to what they are now. I have so many negative things to say about this business and property and how it was managed The only positive that i can say is Galene is amazing, she found out about the owners not accomodating us and did everything in her power to make it right. I hope they can learn from Galenes professionalism and empathy towards the patrons.

No sitting area inside, nowhere to put clothes, didn’t see anyone from the Inn except house keeper that didn’t speak much English. No text replies until the day before we left. A sign said to go to receptionist at the Inn beside us and there was not a desk or anyone found.

Bed “ and breakfast”

This place is ok. Very small rooms. It’s a Bed & Breakfast in name only. I’ve never stayed anywhere where breakfast is offered, but for $15. How is this different than any other place? There was also no common congregation anywhere, with no sense of community with the others staying on property. The price was too high for too little offered. Friends stayed down the road for $100+ less.

Wonderful 2 days

Very nice room great for a quick stay. The bed and pillows were awesome. Location is the best right in the middle of the action and never even noticed the noise outside. Wonderful seating on the top deck with dual fans. The front patio set up is super nice. Plenty of plants and flowers all around. You could see yourself going back in time.

Got my room on hotels.com pick the room I wanted in the bed and breakfast once once I pick the room I want when the outcome came up in the picture. It wasn’t the room I chose so I realize that’s hotels.com problem I emailed both hotels.com and the Bed-and-breakfast as well. The bed-and-breakfast got back to me. They gave me the room I needed and we’re very accommodating and don’t make a check in early and they were very helpful but disappointed in the whole fact that when I ordered the room I wanted I got something new.

Bathroom needed a bit more cleaning and we did not have body wash. Parking was challenging. However, the location was super! The room was nicely decorated and the breakfast was great! The staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating.

Great location and the staff was great! Within minutes I was taken to the room and checked in and guided on where to park the car. The only thing I didn’t care about was having to park the car away from the property, while it was close, it would be nice to have been able to park in the spaces in front of the room.

Booked at the Hemingway for 3 nights for anniversary trip. On arrival had to go next door to check in. took over 20 mins just to get a person to the door. The lady did not speak much English and was on speaker phone with we assume the owner. We got no instructions or info, just a key to the room door. Had to call back to get a door code for the outside lock. The booking site said breakfast was included for 2 (bed & breakfast) but the next morning the same lady said it would be $15 per person. We had no other info to refer to so we went elsewhere all 3 mornings. Our bath & room smelled strongly of sewage after rain 2nd day and the shower started holding water. We had to ask for additional towels and didn’t get any room cleaning or inquiries into our needs whatsoever, there was only the 1 lady on property briefly at breakfast. Not what we expected of a bed & breakfast at all. Location was great and easily walkable to food and activities. Room was pretty clean although it needed to be swept and it had no mini fridge microwave or safe & room door opened directly into the “dining area/kitchen” so there was considerable noise in the morning although we still didn’t get our breakfast or have access to any type of drink machines or snack options. Got one call from someone with the Inn, asked where I was parked and told me another guest couldn’t get in their space, we walked to check & there was plenty of room. Won’t book here again because of the poor customer

The room was extremely small for 2-people. We could not move around easily. There was no refrigerator in the room and you could hear everything going on outside the room.

Good location right in heart of historic district. Rooms are extra small and parking was tight. We had to park about 2 blocks away from the property. Bed was comfortable. They use central air and set temp at 71 degrees and you cant control temp in your room. Shower was good and big with good water pressure and temp. They use electronic looks but ours didnt work so we had to use backup key. All in all charming place but if you want amenities like dresser closer or fridge in room i wouldnt stay here.
