Our room was clean but it hadn’t been refreshed - no teas, no coffee pod machine as there was in the other room I’d booked for a friend. Check-in took longer than it should, but the gym and pool facilities were excellent.

Stag were friendly and the hotel has clearly spent some money renovating the bar and break fast room. The bedroom however was another story, the room had a very strong damp/musty smell. To the point my 13 year old son said why does it smell like a haunted house in here and I struggled to sleep. Both the TV and Fridge didn’t work. The only reason we didn’t leave was that it was 10pm by the time we arrived and needed to leave at 8am for a bike race (the reason we were in Cardiff) By the time I’d paid for parking and breakfast it was £130 for 1 night, do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else!

After reading the reviews on the hotel I was a little bit worried about my booking there , however check in was friendly and straightforward, the room was spacious and comfortable it was clean and airy the amenities in the room were good fridge iron and ironing board towels bedding were spotless ..the rooms are a bit dated but well presented and the price I paid was the best Around for a Saturday night..it’s just a shirt stroll to town

Check in easy enough, greeted by a hoover blocking our door with all cleaning products just dumped outside, had to move all to access room, thankfully no one was in there. Noise of lift can be heard in room all night, windows were mouldy and had so much condensation that there was a puddle on the ledge below. Brought these issues to the hotel after leaving and no response to any emails or phone calls

Had difficulty in finding the hotel but locals helped. We were pleased to find a parking space below the hotel. Your female receptionist was extremely helpful and professional. We arrived around 11.15 am Monday 30th April 2026. We were very happy with the room. Spacious, clean, modern a large very comfortable bed and bathroom with a bath. We didn’t eat at the hotel purely because it was a birthday celebration so chose to eat in one of the Cardiff city restaurants. We did have a drink in the restaurant when we are back. Thank you. We enjoyed our visit to Cardiff and enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

I wouldn't stay here again. Very disappointing. Staff were moody, did not want to engage in conversation, asking for directions was a huge inconvenience to them. Bedding was awful! The quilt cover felt like sand paper where it had babbled, I assume it might be very old! This needs to be looked at as a PRIORITY! Pillows were extremely poor. Not a comfortable stay. Wood frame of the bathroom door needs looking at all the paint is coming away, looks very cheap and nasty. Had 1 coffee pod when we checked in. We booked a room for 2 adults..... Very very noisy you can hear everything. Wouldn't recomend this hotel. Won't be returning.

Very poor. Heating not working phone broken, room very cold.Given a very small oil heater not much use at all. Requested blankets twice! Had to go to reception! Eventually povided an extra duvet. Staff surly and did not seem to care at all. No offer of any compensation for a terrible night in this place.
