Hilton No Ka Oi'

The property had many amenities that made it very convenient for my family. The staff was very professional and attentive to our needs. Ka'anapali Beach is the best location on Maui and Hilton Vacation Club is walking distance to every thing that you could possibly need.

A Little Slice of Paradise

We loved our stay here! The location was perfect. The property is right on the beach, so you have views of the ocean from the pool. We also had a great ocean view from our room. Because the hotel is not part of the greater resort village, it felt less busy and almost like having a private beach. However, it was still close to a great food truck park and the other resort restaurants and shopping. The property was clean and well cared for. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had no complaints whatsoever and would all stay here again if we come back to Maui.

Shockingly poor

I'll start with the positives: the hotel is in a nice location, the beach is very nice nearby, and the pool is awesome. Now with the negatives: for how it's marketed, I had much higher expectations. Our room and bathroom looked like a patchwork remodel. The water in the shower sprays out of the shower area and drains into the living room. The appliances look like they're from 1990, and function ok. Overall, just not nearly up to what my expectations were. We went to the concierge and arranged a luau and fishing charter. They said that the total was around $1150 but they could cut it down to about $400...if we attend a time share harassment meeting for "approximately 3.5 hours". We respectfully declined and after the over an hour of planning, walked away with nothing booked. We watched the half-baked luau from our patio for free, which was adequate. I'm not spending my vacation with my family listening to people that aren't going to sell me on anything. What a shame, just an absolute shame. We won't be staying here again and do not recommend anyone to support this facility.

Good stay for a family with a toddler.

The Hilton Vacation Club was a good spot for our family trip with a 3 yr old. As others have said, it's a little dated looking (they have a DVD player where you can rent DVDs, but our room was very spacious and clean. There wasn't a sit down restaurant, just a grill that's open during the day time, not sure about night time. But there is free self-parking and the pool was great for our kiddo. They also offered free movies in a large theater during stormy days (though we didn't utilize this, but thought it was a nice touch).

Poor customer service when there is an issue

Booked a trip for our wedding anniversary and had plumbing issues in the room. Customer service was terrible as to how they handled it. We had an issue with an intermittent leaky toilet that kept making noise every 10-20 Minutes and we reported to the front desk after one night of disturbed sleep and they didn’t fix it after we reported it and after a whole day they didn’t fix it as issue was still there when we got back at 10pm at night and they couldn’t even offer us another room or do anything for us. Then I followed up with the manager the same evening after I checked out and flew back home and she basically said since the next guest didn’t report the issue there’s nothing she could do. Are you kidding me - does she think I was just making this up!!? Given I’m a loyal Hilton honors gold member I was very disappointed with how they handled the situation including the manager on site. Had to follow up with them multiple times to even get a response!! Terrible that they treat their loyal customers like that and definitely wouldn’t stay there if you expect good customer service

Timeshare pitches and room changes

Booked a king bed suite and they wouldn't let us check until well after 6pm as they "prepared the suite" and kept calling to get us to switch to a full bed suite instead. Finally they called hours later and said they don't have any king suites available and said we had to take a full. They offered to move us to a king for our last night out of 6, it was comically rude. They also rigorously tried to sell timeshares, literally every employee tried to get us to join a timeshare pitch. Also there were cockroaches in the rooms, and they refused to take our dirty towels and made us come to the lobby to pick up fresh ones. The location was nice and I really wanted to like this place but Hilton really dropped the ball here.

We have stayed at the Kaanapali Hilton in the past and always enjoyed our time here , but this time around wasn’t so great . Pool was very very cold and almost every body I talked to said a same thing not very happy with the pool .i don’t think we will go back again .

Staff very friendly. However if you book anything from concierge be ready for them to sell you a time share. Time share guy was friendly but put down their rooms because they were outdated. No restaurants only a small grill. Property very secluded so lots of privacy. Don’t have many things to do at resort.
