stayed here last year and had a great experience and lovely room. Very disappointed this time with our room, booked double standard, was told at reception we were upgraded to a superior double. Was shown to a chalet out the back, which on entering appeared dated and the windows did not close properly. Would not class as an upgrade… Room was nothing like the pictures on the website. Unable to have showers in the morning as the water was scalding hot. Bar & restaurant staff were friendly and food was good.

Stayed just one night but it was pleasant enough. The hotel and its grounds are lovely although in need of a little TLC. Things are a just a little bit tired in the bathrooms and some of the tilling could be doing with replacement. A bit more attention could be paid to the cleaning as well. The one thing I would say is that the mattress was really comfy and we both got a good nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked and plenty was on offer. All staff were helpful and pleasant. There is ample parking and a walk around the grounds before departure to see the huge trees was a nice end to a pleasant enough stay.

We use this hotel quite regularly. Good location, nice staff and food generally fine although the juices at breakfast were awful. Rooms could do with updating, but comfy enough. However, bathrooms seriously need improvement.

Sehr abgelegenes, an sich schönes großes Hotel. Unser Zweibettzimmer war geräumig und in überwiegend gutem Zustand. Eine Ausnahme war das Badezimmer, u.a. war der Duschvorhang uralt und an der unteren Hälfte eklig verfärbt. Weiteres Manko war der schon recht alte Fernseher, der ein sehr schlechtes, dunkles Bild hatte, das kaum zu erkennen war. Ein sehr netter Mitarbeiter bemühte sich lange, aber leider erfolglos um Verbesserung. Unsere Bitte um Zimmertausch wurde abgelehnt, weil man (angeblich) ausgebucht war (auf dem großen Parkplatz standen vielleicht ein Dutzend Autos?). Negativ aufgefallen ist uns auch die Sauberkeit auf den Fluren. Der Schmutz und die Vogelfedern, die uns schon bei der Anreise aufgefallen waren, lagen bei unserer Abreise nach 2 Tagen immer noch alle an Ort und Stelle. Das Housekeeping scheint etwas unaufmerksam zu sein, denn auch Kaffee und Tee in unserem Zimmer wurden nicht aufgefüllt. Herausragend war hingegen das reichhaltige Frühstück, das auf Bestellung frisch zubereitet wurde. Der Service war zwar nicht schnell, aber dafür sehr freundlich.
