1st front desk reception was trying to check me in so fast that she was trying to charge me twice for my stay. Place is lively enough for solo travelers to meet new people. Bed was comfortable. Went downstairs for a phone call and the common area and kitchen had so many roches roaches. I almost canceled right then but was only staying for 1 more night.

I HIGHLY recommend this hostal if you're staying in Antigua. The beds are so comfortable and they each come with their own fan, light and outlet. The facilities and common area were kept pretty clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I loved that it's like a family environment. They plan activities like movie nights and there are often people playing games in the evening. So you can choose to keep to yourself or socialize. And the food is some of the best food I've had at a hostal so far. Antigua is a pretty walkable city and I had no issues getting to the main attractions/food places from here. Overall, a great stay.
