Godafoss Exceptional Northern Lights a plus!!

Excellent staff and property. We asked about northern lights and they came to wake us at midnight upon our request to go outside and see them. So kind! Clean trendy, comfortable stay! Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, dated rooms, overpriced food.

Unique experience near falls. Weather was beautiful and sunny (people wearing tank tops), was told this was unusual. Unfortunately, I was catching up on sleep and didn't wake up early to walk near the falls. Would be a great place to stay to take night aurora pictures. However, rooms very dated/stuffy, food very expensive (one tortilla with some chicken and peppers cost $30--ridiculous) and isolated to do anything other than Godafoss (which is packed with tourists and buses all day), so be wary of this. I actually cut my stay short one day (no refund) to explore other areas, so be aware of limiting your driving around the ring road and prioritizing what to see. I would actually stay here again if available, but for one day on my trip around.

Limpio y bien ubicado para tu viaje

La estancia fue excelente. Es un sitio muy bonito, ubicado en frente de las catarás de Godafoss. Tiene un restaurante que es buena opción para cenar porque en la zona no hay nada más, aunque las cocina es normal. En el buffet de desayuno mejor madrugar porque paran 200 autobuses, se llena de turistas y se vuelve muy ruidoso. La habitación es limpia, cómoda y silenciosa. Las habitaciones están en una especie de cabañas contiguas unas de otras con terracita. Muy agradable. Pero todo depende si tus "vecinos" son silenciosos. El personal del hotel excelente.

Zentral gelegen zu vielen Hotspots

Roomservice wechselt Tasse und Glas nicht aus, Abfall wurde die ganzen 4 Tage nicht geleert. Absonsten aber ein gutes Hotel, nette Gastgeber, toller Blick auf Goðafoss. Empfehlung für Fotos und Eindrücke erst nach 20 Uhr den Wasserfall besuchen, da sonst total überfüllt, teilweise bis zu über 15 Reisebusse auf dem Parkplatz und tonnenweise Menschen. Am Abend aber toll, wenn alle Touris wieder auf ihrem Schiff sind.

Great service, especially the hotel manager, she was fantastic! At nightime, during the midnight sun, when all the tour buses and travelers are gone,you have the whole waterfall to yourself. It is was my favorite waterfall in Iceland. The food is good, the beds are clean, spend at least two nights there to truely enjoy the area.

Everything was good expect that they didn’t have a microwave. It sort of forces people to eat from thier restaurant. There is a Icd wear store next to the hotel where you can get hotdogs though.
