The hotel was amazing. I don' know what i was expecting but it wasn't this hotel. From the second we walked into the room the whole place came alive. The blinds automatically opened it was brilliant. The hotel was super clean the maids were really friendly, and the room itself was incredible. The size of the room was perfect, the bed was huge, we even had a seating area and a table which is always something that helps especially if you want to have snacks in the room. I liked the fact the shower and the toilet were separate. The Aircon worked really well. The complimentary water was brilliant and was replenished every single day without fail. The location was also just perfect, you are in the heart of it here but not to the extent of the muslim quarter. I could not recommend this hotel more and If i go back to Xi'an I will be staying here again. The breakfast was included in the rate and it was perfect. Such a diverse range of foods and fruits and drinks. Quick and easy check in and out.

The first thing to say is that this wasn't the easiest place to find, partly because there is very little English signage (not that I'm complaining about Xi'an having mainly Chinese speakers and signage, but worth remembering!) and the fact that certain websites are blocked. I couldn't access my emails to get more detail about the hotel and Google is blocked. Make sure you get an e-sim - invaluable. To find the hotel, get the airport bus/metro to the Xi'an landmark The Bell Hotel. Go to the left of the hotel (as you are facing it) and after about 100 metres, after a 7-11, a bakery and finally a watch shop, you should see a small entrance to the hotel - once you know, it's deceptively simple. The hotel itself was excellent - clean and welcoming with a great breakfast (never had so many noodles for breakfast). Once again, certain sites are blocked and the TV was impossible to decipher, but not the end of the world. I communicated with the staff through the translating apps and every one of them was very helpful - our transfer to the airport on the way back was very cheap and every one of the staff involved themself in helping. The manageress was especially kind here. Xi'an is a wonderful city - very impressed with how well I ate for so little - and the people are curious but never rude and I will definitely go back. Probably my favourite Chinese city now. And I'll be staying at this hotel again (if they'll have me).
