HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!
We stayed at the Grand Stay Hotel in Johnston, Iowa, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected ~ especially for a brand-new property. While the hotel itself was clean, the service and management were severely lacking.
There was no flat sheet on our bed, and we had to request it the next day when asking for our room to be made up. Towels were missing our first night, and despite asking again on the second and third nights to have our room cleaned, nothing was done.
My husband had emailed the manager about these issues, and by chance, we bumped into him at the elevator. We explained everything again in person, and he admitted he hadn't even checked his emails yet. He assured us he would have someone clean the room ~ but once again, we returned to find it exactly as we'd left it.
Brand new or not, this level of service is unacceptable. I will never stay here again.
