We like staying at the SKyline Lodge - it is in a quiet location with great views of the mountains and trees. One highlight is the Oaks Restaurant, which (in our opinion) is one of the best in the area. Another is that they are pet friendly and everyone remembers and greets our bird, Scarlett.

Beautiful location. Lovely job of refurbishing historic property- keeping the retro vibe while giving modern touches ( love the heated tile floor in bathroom). Very comfortable room. Nice balcony view of mountain landscape. Wonderfully decorated courtyard area (enjoyed the firepit and giant jenga). Onsite restaurant (Oak Steakhouse) is phenomenal.

PROS: The hotel is very peaceful as it is located in the middle of the mountain. The rooms are clean, nice and comfortable. Employees are nice as well. CONS: the hotel only has two floors. We stayed on the first floor and we could hear the footsteps of the people staying above us because the walls and floors are extremely thin. Also, there is no elevator so take this into consideration if you can’t lift your luggage up and down the stairs.

Pet friendly but multiple dogs off leash and owners letting them roam which seemed odd leash weren’t required. Property is pretty, rooms were ok minus flea bites I brought back. Said they offered pastries for sale in the morning but they were not there during our stay. Highly recommend staying on the 2nd floor vs the first floor. Positives: friendly staff and the restaurant on property was excellent.-staff at restaurant was amazing.
