If you receive deluxe cabin 232.... ask to change! Deluxe is a far cry to what we stayed in! 1. The bins and rubbish dump, are attached to your cabin! Actual dump site! 2. Your car is parked in direct sunlight, all day. 3. You cannot use your deck from Midday until evening, as the desk is in direct sunlight. The deck was faded and peeling, and the deck ceiling was mouldy and falling apart. 4. The grass area directly in front of your cabin, is caravan sites! Directly in front. 5. The cabin is on a sway for sure! The main bedroom door was held open by a Bible upon arrival! 6. The shower door doesn't close properly, and sprays the bathroom from the open gaps. 7. No baking trays for the oven! 8. No chopping boards to prepare food! 9. Microwave door was broken and falling apart. 10. Laundry is dismal - washing machines need a good clean, 1 dryer and 4 washers. 11. The park is a maze, with ridiculous speed bumps, that hurt no matter how slow you go! 12. You have to book to use the spa! What!? 13. This park definitely prioritises the permanent residents, with cabins & caravans just thrown around inbetween them all. Overall, a very disappointing stay, especially for the higher rates that you pay here, and for a Deluxe Cabin. We did love the wildlife! Lots of bird, rabbits, frogs and possums ❤️

Amazing views from cabins on water's edge. Ash tray was full of cigarette butts when we arrived which was yuck. Cabin must be on a slant because bedroom door kept closing and bathroom door kept opening. Lounge a/c not great and sometimes VERY noisy. WiFi poor and TV reception in bedroom unwatchable. Fantastic pool and heated spa, and other facilities. Great service and very friendly, helpful staff.

I had booked an overnight stay in a cabin with my two kids and booked a late arrival. I received the courtesy msg from the park on my way with the late arrival instructions. I followed all instructions when i arrived which were great. It was lovely to walk into the cabin with my kids, with the outside & inside light left on for us which was great because it was quite dark, and the cabin left at a beautiful temperature for our comfort! The cabin also was clean and tidy, with a lovely note from the staff (Savanah) detailing the time the room was set for our comfort & wishing us a lovely stay. As we needed to leave early the next morning, it was very convenient for me to place the key in the key return box at the boom gate. Also, i found this very well priced for my one night stay which is why i originally booked here, but i also have previously stayed at this park on an ensuite 18 months ago and was aware it was a very tidy and well presented & maintained park. Thankyou Discovery park Lake Hume!

This was our second time staying here. The cabins are clean and had everything we needed for a week. We loved staying next to the pool and had a beautiful view out over the dam. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We booked a larger cabin for a long weekend for 6 adults and a child. Upon arrival with our car and small boat, we were told (repeatedly and for the first time) that there was only one car permitted per site which we felt was unreasonable considering the size of our party and chosen accommodation. The parking spot available was small and not suitable for a car and boat. When I asked about this I was told that I could park my boat and car on the side of the lake which I also thought was unreasonable as this area could be easily accessed from the main road. The unit itself was nice and had modern facilities and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately certain areas of the the unit hadn't been cleaned thoroughly and its location while close to the BBQ facilities which was a plus did not have any views of the lake which was disappointing. Overall we felt the park was really there purely for the benefit of the permanent residents and not for visitors. It seemed like there were too many rules and restrictions in place which affected our stay. Lastly all the best spots and locations seemed to be taken up by permanent vans and cabins. We enjoyed the lake but when we visit the area again, we will be trying a different accommodation option.
