Small, compact room where the space is extremely well considered. Lovely subtle - but - effective design flourishes, and simple gestures that mean the room is very useable and comfortable. Reminiscent of another of my favourite hotels - The Standard X in Fitzroy, Melbourne. It’s great to stay at a hotel where the amenities are well-considered, and the staff understand what hospitality is about. The service was friendly, warm and ver efficient. This is not an ‘overstuffed’ American-style hotel; rather it is compact, cool without trying too hard, and perfect for a few comfortable nights accomodation within easy striking distance to the cool places to check out.

The blind was not working hence there was a lot of Light and no privacy from the building across the street. The hotel was located next to a gentlemen’s club- brothel. A a woman travelling alone for business this was uncomfortable. Perhaps this could be mentioned. The room did not have a desk hence limitations for people travelling for business. If you a a male or a couple in the mid thirties wanting a place that is edgy this is suitable and probably worthy of the high ratings. If not … there are other places in downtown Auckland at that price point.

Room was compact but okay. Noise from room above or next door woke me several times. Booked with breakfast and for the extra cost was not worth it, very limited choice and more like a snack. Was told coffee machine was out of action and wasn't offered anything else. Reception staff were great, restaurant staff not so much.

Really enjoyed my stay at Tribe Hotel Auckland. Even though I booked the entry-level room (internal with no outside windows), it felt surprisingly bright, light, and airy — definitely not what I expected, in a good way. The room was super quiet and very comfortable, which made it easy to relax and sleep well. The shower was great, and I appreciated the little touches like the Nespresso machine and the selection of luxury teas. Overall, a stylish, comfortable stay that exceeded expectations. I’d happily stay here again.
