We had a great time at Snug Harbor. The location was perfect, in the center of town, just off the main walking area. There were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We especially enjoyed having breakfast brought to our room each day, and the little details made a big difference - from a lovely fireplace to warm us on a chilly night to the earplugs provided to keep down the early-morning noises from outsides.

What a lovely hotel. We stayed in the Catalina Suite and we had the perfect view of the water. It was quiet and lovely, and the entire staff were courteous and friendly and helpful. I would recommend this any day of the week. This was my husband's first trip to Catalina, and now he wants to come back and add an extra day to the visit. We will more than likely stay at the same hotel. Thank you guys so much.

Stayed here for a long weekend and had a great stay. No big problems. The location is central to Avalon and mostly quiet. The breakfast was brought into the room and the choices we made were delicious. Two notable things: (1) DirectTV was not working however the Netflix, etc., worked flawlessly while in the room. (2) There is a club across the street (Club Chi Chi ?) that was loud until 2am, which is to be expected. Ear plugs are provided in the room.

The staff was amazing, so kind and helpful. The bathroom could use some help, the toilet seems to run for about 15 minutes and the sink kept getting clogged if you don’t pull up the drain. You do have to use your earplugs at night because of the noise level.

Ocean was not visible from our room called Santa Cruise. Rooms are small. You keep running into furniture. Location is close to shopping and restaurants. The rooms are all on the second floor. There is no elevator. You have to drag your suitcases two flights of stairs up and then down. The breakfast for our room was granola and cold milk and yogurt and small bowl of fresh fruit. We had to go out for breakfast after that. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We loved everything about our stay at the Snug Harbor! We got there early and our room was ready, check in was a breeze, and the hotel is spotless and well appointed. Light and airy room, huge mattress, plush towels, and a shower to die for (high water pressure and as hot as we wanted). Continental breakfast was delivered to our room daily, and evening snacks were also delivered daily. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Two things to be aware of, the step into the shower/tub is a big one, but a good grab bar helps a lot. And there is no elevator, so be prepared to go up the stairs with your luggage. The location couldn't be better with a partial view of the harbor, centrally located in Avalon. Everything is within walking distance, plenty of good restaurants close by. A pretty boutique hotel. Enjoy!
