Good value, good food

There is a very limited amount of shade on the beach as the palapas are reserved for an extra-charge club called "Level". The lounge chairs around the pool where there is more shade are not comfortable for laying on all day. The food was good but not as good as the NYX where we stayed last year. We were lucky to get a free upgrade to an ocean view suite so overall we are very happy with the value.

We loved out stay at Casa Maya. There are some bad reviews, but the property is definitely working on getting everything on line. We had a king suite with an ocean view on the 7th floor. The room was huge. Everything is new. We were extremely happy. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. I wish I could have gotten everyone's names but a big shout out to our waiters Didier and Oscar. The dining options are limited at this property. The buffet is small, but had something for everyone. Always clean and wonderful wait staff. Our favorite meals were at Cape Nao. The filet and NY steak were cooked to perfection. We dined at Casa Nostra one night, and it was good. The beach at this property is really nice, and they keep it very clean. Tons of beach chairs and also plenty by the pool. There were a lot of families staying while we were there. We are retired and not traveling with children, but I can see the appeal to families. The splash pad and water slides looked like fun! The activities crew had families involved with games on the beach and in the pool. They had to punt a couple of days because of bad weather, and got games going indoors. Antonio and Christopher were good at checking in with guests and keeping them up on what was on the schedule. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Excelente option for Casual Resort with family. I was scared due to the bad previous reviews but I was surprised with amazing hotel. The hotel is new and modern , looks exactly like photos. It is a real all-inclusive ( foods and drinks available all time, activities and waterpark, no surprises ). Amazing and friendly staffs that are always available to serving and make guest happy. There is not gym, but Antonio and his recreation team are great and full of energy to keep us busy with activities ( paddle boarding, yoga, aqua gym, aquatic polo, volleyball ). Diana made the best ovo estrelado and omeletes at breakfast. Carlos, Palmira and Cyntia were amazing helping us with early check in and late check out. Jesus , the concierge, gave us a great tips about transportation and where we should do shopping . The beach is perfect, a lot chairs, calm ocean and white and clean sand !!! Hotel cleans the beach regularly. My 11 y daughter was very happy with pool and waterpark .My husband was very satisfied with food service at beach ( Mauricio ) and all bartenders . This hotel deserves higher rate and starts for sure!!!

Hotel was clean, but lacked food options and there is no fitness room. Most of the staff was nice and friendly, there were couple that were rude. The only thing I like about that hotel was their fast respond to provided us with a new and upgraded room after we found mold on the ceiling in our shower. Will not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

Overall very good hotel. It is not a large resort, but a beachfront high-rise hotel with a pool and 3 restaurants. Beautiful property with nice view, but it is a small property in a public beach. The rooms are incredibly spacious, renovated and nicely decorated, and impeccably clean. Views are spectacular. Bathrooms and showers are great. Beds are comfortable. The only opportunities for improvement on the bedroom are the scent of linen (even though new linen were always clean, they didn’t smell fresh); and TV system could be updated (allow guest login to streaming services, for instance). Food is good, nothing spectacular. The service at restaurants is a low point: generally slow and inattentive, with a few exceptions. One server in particular is exceptional, and I jotted down his name: Oscar Mendoza Lopez. If the hotel management is reading this review, Oscar should be training all other servers! Another good server (I think a supervisor) is a gentleman called Alexis. I also want to praise a concierge called Maria Jose who helped me with preparing celebration for a birthday during our stay. She was very helpful and did a wonderful job. The hotel also put some great entertainment at the lobby bar area every night, well above what I expected, amazing shows and activities. The timing of our visit was unfortunate, as it wasn’t very warm and it was very windy every day. I learned January is not a good time weatherwise.

We stayed for 7 nights at the end of December 2024 and had a great time. They had just reopened after the remodel so there were little hiccups along the way (like forgetting to put out the butter-again nothing extreme just little things) but nothing that affected our stay in a negative way. We got brand new towels, fresh paint, new beds and bedding, clean rooms and plenty of food to eat. The waterpark was great for my kiddos and I loved the slides myself. Hands down-the staff was the best part. They were so kind and helpful always with a smile. We had a great time and would come again.

I beg you not to come here, even if they are giving you a good deal. First off, they opened on December 16th, so any reviews before that are either not for this hotel, or fake. You will find the reviews after December 16th are all quite negative. To give you the specifics, as everyone mentions, they first told us the waterpark will be opened December 18th, then it becomes December 20th. As of today December 21st, it is still NOT opened. Only excuses after excuses. The room we got is nothing like what we saw online. The gym is not opened, the bar does not open until 11am, there is no kid’s club, only 1 sit down restaurant opened each night, the beach color is gross and not even close to what you see on their photoshopped website pictures, not to mention the foul smell and tons of seaweed on the beach. The only good things about this hotel are that the food is good, and the service is good. If you have booked here because you are getting you a good deal, please try to get a free refund and book somewhere else, as almost nothing they promised you online will be available here.

I am questioning Expedia’s reviews now. This property is worst! No Spa and no gym at property. When we asked for options outside and they were clueless. Service: very very bad. They are not prepared for guests and very rude when it comes to talking with Food: same food every day and with limited options. They have half of the restaurants closed most of the time Room service: none. Their phone line conveniently doesn’t work. Water park: limited and dirty. Expedia customer care I hope you do something about this.
