Really great location, building and facilities in a beautiful spot. We were taking a cruise the next day and stayed at this hotel because of the location to the coast. We had ocean views from our room. The hotel itself is very well preserved and very charming. The bar and restaurant were first class as well. Would definitely stay again.

Room was clean, but a little smelly after running the tap. Wardrobe was ridiculously small, like an armoir rather than a wardrobe. My dresses didn’t fit. Luckily radiator in bedroom was adjustable as it was very warm. Heaps of tea and coffee but we had to pop our fresh milk onto the windowsill outside as no fridge in room. Staff were excellent Slept well despite what appeared to be someone playing (badly) the last post on a cornet, down the hall.
