Lovely views and location. Super nice staff. But the pool area was awful. The pool had brown water in it and construction workers lying around. No sun beds etc. Also the rooms were not sound proof so I slept bad since the ppl on the room next doors was coming home late and was talking and making a lot of noises and also got up very early and started to make noises.

The room needs serious attention. Mould on ceiling. Drawers and cupboard doors missing handles/nobs. Musty smell.

Disappointing

We booked the manor. Without informing us they placed us in a garden room. When we noticed this they informed us that the room in the manor was claimed by the owner. At the end they solved it well they gave us a house. In general Diemersfontein is outdated. Staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant is good.

Wine Estate experience

Checkin was fantastic. I received a courtesy call informing me that the restaurant won't be open when I arrive. The place is lovely, set right in the middle of a wine Estate. Breakfast was fantastic and I wished I had time to indulge. In the room there were worms that looked like small millipedes. Initially I thought there was just a few. But more and more kept emerging.

THE BREAKFAST WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. A COLD AND WARM BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT AS WELL AS THE LEKKER COFFEE!

Great location, no food!

We were there for 2 days, and they forgot to tell us there was no restaurant service on a Sunday night, so we found ourselves hungry in an up class hotel

DWACE

This facility was as advertised. It is a large multifaceted estate with good wines which you can taste as part of your reservation. Our room has a wonderful view of the gardens and the hills beyond.

Not a good experience

The only good thing about this hotel were the friendly staff. The hotel was very tired and worn. The pool was so dirty even the frogs wanted to leave! The hotel needs a huge amount of money spending on it to bring it up to a reasonable standard.

Secret Hideaway

Beautiful getaway in lush wine country. Enjoyed the best guided horse tour - galloping the native SA breeds through the countryside. Grounds were exquisite, service fantastic, food delightful.

No recomendable

Not worth it.

This was a very disappointing stay. First of all, the "vineyard" is in the middle of the township. There is a gate with a security guard, however, when you leave the grounds, you are on a busy road and looking at the town. Not what we expected at all. Secondly, the staff needs to be retrained in customer service and etiquette. The only person that treated us with respect was the woman conducting wine tastings. Service was rude at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The waitress basically told us that we had had enough coffee and she wouldn't make another pot. Don't waste your time or money here. There are plenty of better options in Stellenbosch or Franchhoek.
